This episode was my favorite by far! I could see the hurt in that mans eyes that he's disappointed at our government! I was always confused by hearing veterans say they were treated badly because my grandfather is a Vietnam Veteran and he is treated very well by the VA here in Arkansas. Now I see that America has to really step it up in places like this! Thanks WPC!🇺🇸

Awe, the sadness in that man's voice and on his face. He deserves better. I had to go the VA window downtown for my dad just to make an appt only to find out we didn't have all the paper work. More waiting and bs. I hope that man gets his day soon.

Damn that was good!!!! Yeah. there's a lot of substance here billy and the blues! Never a boring moment. Thank you and much love! So touching and refreshing to watch something so real when everything in society today seems so empty and void.

As someone who tried to learn an instrument alone in my room, I can relate to the idea that playing music by yourself is extremely difficult without some sort of human or environment interaction. Thanks for posting this video, I learned a lot.

I am a nurse and use to work at the VA in Austin Texas. I worked the job of 3 to try to bend rules to help as many of these great men our Veterans try to get around and navigate the red tape that is our Federal government. So sad! They deserve the best care!

I love this episode. It is my favorite. I learnt about the Delta Blues, which I had never heard of before. Also the conversation with the veteran is very touching and Billy very sympathetic with him and his wife.

Yeah my dad was in Vietnam he was a young mechanic in the Air Force as an Airman and eventually retired Senior Master Sergeant! Loved God, Family, Friends, and Country! He told me one time: Gary you will never know a Hell worse than the Vet who returns home with PTSD and a drug addiction to a Country who doesn’t want him back! Dad said his Army and Marine Corp infantry men lived that personal Hell!

my fav so far. l always also felt good music can only come from sorrow, for music (and all art) is intrinsical with emotion. Boredom or the obligation of fulfillment of some recording contract will never have anyone come up with anything good. There are countless examples. l also believe good music is only that which you compose for no other than yourself. lf it's real, if it moves you, chances are it will move others. l dont think any good music has ever come from anyone with an intention of making music for others to like

I love Billy, just find him fascinating, been to several show's over the years, his music helped shape my formative years, etc. Really, really like the guy OK. But Goddamn he may in the running for the most narcissistic artist in history. Yet I can't stop listening as he yammers on and on.

Billy does have bipolar. I haven't found it anywhere if he has type 1 or 2, but I suspect type 1, which comes with the god/superman complex, and a heightened sense of self.

"...the way we impose on past generations the codes and mores...." in other words 'critical race theory' is trash (right on). I always felt this spirit pretty well embodied by the adage "Never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes". Obviously this manner of thought is out of fashion in modern times where we it acceptable to encapsulate entire chapters of history through the lens of an 'instant take' and if we find those historical moments unappealing, we merely 'cancel' them, where that be tearing down a statue, removing books from libraries or online catalogues, remove street/building names, and so on. I hear this type of historical perspective is popular with ISIS; they've gotten pretty good at demolishing ancient temples and works of antiquity....
