I'm VERY happy with these! I bought these six months or so ago, after my Fila Ghibli Verso 3x110 frames broke ('fitness' skate). The agility that this shorter frame brings is super fun if you're somewhat experienced, and the build quality still feels solid. Zero regrets. I chose these after trying out 1) Tempish Zeron (quality wasn't quite as good, frame longer) and 2) Powerslide Swell Metallic black 110 (too narrow, even in a size larger - but they do look awesome, nice comfy boot, and being lower to the ground rides well). Roces was the cheapest of the lot, too. Re: the straps: I hope I don't have to drill them out, mine were damaged a bit after I accidentally rode over them, having forgotten to fasten them. Damn 😯. But I bet the skate overall will outlast my Fila's though.

Ugh! You are making me want these lol. Good review. I’m wondering how that short wheelbase feels. That 45 degree buckle probably seems kinda weird/stupid but that’s the industry standard buckle from the speed skating world. I’m sure roces could engineer something way better but your average speed/fitness skate would prefer them to just conform(we had this problem in aggressive with the razors buckle. Everybody wanted a razors buckle on everything for awhile)
@ThirtyandRollin

The shorter wheel base was fun! It allowed me to roll smoothly and fast but I could still get in some tight turns/small trick stuff. These skates as a whole impressed me quite a bit.

Hi Brenden thank you for your review. I have been struggling choosing the best skates for my money. I want to get in to inline skating, I come from ice skating so I do have a good starting balance and musles. I want to skate in and around my city, 10-20 kilometers, around 3 times per week, I do not think I will learn any tricks, just sharp turns on roads (to prevent flying in to cars). There are nice bike routes but also a lot of bad roads so because of that I think I will go with a 3x 110mm setup. The skate shops are closed because of covid in my country, so I cannot fit all types of skates unfortunatly. I was thinking of these skates: - Roces EGO 3x110mm - POWERSLIDE IMPERIAL 110 SKATES SENIOR - FR Skates FR3 310 Freeskates (the maximum my budget will allow) Which of these skates would be the best choice for my money? I think they all offer good quality for the money, but will the higher priced skates offer a big improvement in quality and life time? Good luck learning agressive skating btw, I tried skateboarding but the big half pipes were scaring me. The last weeks of skateboarding I ever did in my life always ended with a headache of falling so many times xD.

Thirty and Rollin I am just trying to find a 3-125 mm. No one besides rollerblade seems to carry a good option that can deliver to the US. I know you like your rollerblades, Any advice?
@ThirtyandRollin
@ThirtyandRollin 4 жыл бұрын
@@siegkarl If you want 3x125 you will need to look at Powerslide or FR for a freeskates. You can also get a UFS 3x125 frame from Ground Control if you have aggressive boots. Unless you roll on some really gritty bumpy surfaces I recommend staying in the 3x110 range. You will notice the market is correcting itself and making more 3x110 than 3x125 skates. Much better best of both worlds setup. As for Rollerblade, they don't make 3x125 at least not in the urban freeskate genre. But I do have to say that their quality is up there with the best of them. It it truly hard to beat there quality and service. That being said the only freeskate they offer for wide feet is the RB 80 or RB 110 (or Danny Aldridge Pro Model.) Hope this helps.

I like to go fast and commute, but also do some tricks and jumps and urban traffic skating. I have history in figure skating. Skates should be manouverable but also stable in higher speed. I haven't figured out if budget skates should be 3x110 (for example these EGOs) or 4x80 (for example FR skates FR3) or something else. I suppose freestyle skates with hard boots anyway. I watched your other video about wheel sizes but still need another point of view. Thanks!
