I watched this. Movie in theater(1993) 8th class with my two idiots friends ,, Natraj theater matnie show, Oh my God, i feel every scene intrestingly , especially this song ' really am afraid this music in 4 track sound system , one side super beats another side feeling heart beat fastly. See the song thee thee, a beautyful fast paced melody blended with electronic programming, bass , flute, drumpad.also this song, electrifying orcerstration by mastero. On an other note Rehman has proved ,he don't even need orchestration to make a song classic. The song rasathi, he composed in acapella style not even a single instrument in backdrop. The so called well acclaimed ilayaraja has never ever thought or down such a brilliance in his entire career. Rehman proved at an age of 26 through this album. South music was not marketed properly in the north during pre-internet era. Also the conflict of South and North affected badly. Otherwise it should have been dominated in the Pan India Level considering the legends we have especially Ilayaraja and A R Rahman. Saying that it is also have a very big market in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore. That's why it had some international quality.

Agree - salim ghouse played a wonderful villain. The rawness of HEERA and Prashant was the big draw (i forget his sidekick). The storytelling was way beyond par and way beyond its time, too early. This song and songs in the movie are as if ARR time travelled from the future into the 90s and delivered this music...still fresh after nearly 30 years...growing up on music like this - i crave everytime for music like this and still searchin!

Iam a malayalee and I first heard this song during 2000s and learned that it's from a film called Thiruda thiruda I thought its the Dhanush starrer Thiruda Thirudi (2003) movie. It was only in 2019 I came to know that the song is from Thiruda Thiruda released way back in 1993 and it blew my mind way. This is clearly AR Rahman at his best. This album was a massive hit and way ahead of its time. Apart from appreciating ARR, let us also take time to appreciate the lovely singer Anupama. She could sing techno effortlessly. Her voice was the only voice in those times that could go 8 octaves. Singers like her are a rarity. 👍🏼
