Elo hell to me is best described as the area where every other game a person trolls, feeds, and sits in base the entire game. Happens regularly at lower ranks more this season than I’ve ever seen. Quite literally every other game someone on my team or the other team does this

Earlier this season i had the same Kuzenbo support who went tainted and tried to constantly steal enemy speed buff all game. Had him in my queue 4 games in a row. And was so tilted the 5th game i had him that i just took one for the team and left the game out of frustration.

While I understand your point and the frustration. I think the "ELO Hell" that people talk about, such as your examples, where you're stuck somewhere because of your team doesn't exist. The reason, is because when you see a GM-Plat player actually face bronze-gold, the bronze-gold doesn't really stand a chance. As long as you're not playing support, if a player really is diamond, they can most likely solo carry their way to at least Plat. Unless their entire team is feeding or tolling. But just 1 or even 2 teammates trolling likely isn't a problem.

You should totally start an ELO Heaven series, where 1 person in the game is like Plat or Diamond, everyone else is bronze-gold, and see if the Diamond player can carry their team. It would at least show that if you really are a higher rank you can carry yourself out of the brackets everyone complains about.

@@jaradrichardsC137 What is harder to make happen exactly? Setting up those games or carrying those games as a Plat/Diamond? There are far more low-average players than good players so finding people to set the games up should be easier. Then, 1 person from the Plat players team should stand in base or DC. 1 player from each team should feed. Really give them the "ELO Hell" lobby. Also, as long as you're not support and you have 2 or 3 teammates actually trying/helping, 1 Plat/Diamond can easily rampage the enemy team of Bronze/Silvers, high gold might be where it starts to get rough.

If these players can consistently carry themselves, it would show not only that elo hell doesn't exist and players are in the rank they should be in, but it would show what it would really look like if these players who think they're in elo hell would be doing if elo hell actually existed.

Hello I'm ItzMurch. I know what you're thinking these guys doing to elo hell videos are all not good examples. I thought that too untill I did it. I've never played so bad in my life. Blamed us all and I was top dog in lobby as baka had 4 triple kills and 6 objective steals and my team still threw. I'm in gold 5 and can not get an actual team in gold cause 1500 mmr is way to high for kids that play the game casually to be here in ranked matches

From being high Plat to diamond year round, very occasionally creeping into masters. I have noticed when seasons reset and MMR is reset and I start back at bronze it is WAY harder than regular gold and plat+ games. I have players afk, throwing, trolling, and not playing roles. I main jungle and will go like 20/3 and pub stomp but will still lose the game ~ idk how x.x This season so far has been worse than ever. I'm currently masters in duel (pretty easy cuz duel) but holy sht conq is insane with this new player base.

Faced this guy in rank last night. He played mercury and went negative, their whole team wasn’t good together but then our jungler (erlang shen full crit) decides to back In the middle of a Phoenix push (he was full health with FG and we begin diving and he leaves at the very top of the fight) we lose after that fight even tho we led in gold and objectives the entire game) after I carried with Tiamat All game 🤦🏿

tbh fire stance is my least used stance as merlin. the void 2,1 combo is a great start for a little bit of damage and a little bit of cc. then swap to frost and hit that 2,1 combo for good damage and good cc. and if you still havent killed the enemy yet you can switch to fire if your cooldowns are low but usually its better to stay frost or go back to void for the pull. also this guys build is fine but i think he just needs some technical practice.

But it’s a silver player? He makes a good point. Unless you play support, If you’re good enough at any game you can solo carry close enough to where your rank should be. It can be harder on team based games but that’s also why I say close to your rank. A guy does this on Overwatch 2 and it’s the same shit, the people in their rank typically belong there or eventually climb out themselves. If you play 50+ Matches and your win rate is at 50% you’re where you should be.

This guy is pretty decent, he seems like someone at roughly my level of play and the last season I placed gold II for ranked, i did finish plat, but I see sawed back and forth between gold and plat and ended gold II, but thats a good area where you have good access to better players to learn from so I could easily see him getting to his goal over a bit of time. Elo hell is real I just got out of a game where 2 people on my team didn't ban, I had an agni solo and full damage loki support (who died twice within the first 2/3 minutes of the game), a cu chulain jgl who went así first item. We surrendered at 18 mins with a 12k gold difference. The agni solo dc'd 0-7-1 Izanami adc 0-7-0 Cu chulain jgl 0-5-0 Loki supp 1-4-0 I was Morgan mid and was 1-2-0 I understand kills aren't everything but that's just impossible. I'm not tryna say I'm an amazing player or that I should be much higher(I'm at 1100mmr silver 2) but I have a basic grasp of how a game should go. The biggest issues with this game is that 1) we can't queue more than 2 for ranked if that's down to playerbase then I genuinely wouldn't care having to queue longer if it meant I would at least get a decent game instead of queueing for 10 mins because someone hasn't readied and then sit in a loss cos some lads afk'd. 2) the matchmaking bracket is scary when when you're below 1500 mmr cos you have potential to be matched with people who have NEGATIVE MMR. There's more but this is long enough already

You should do a series where you watch someone's gameplay and then tell them what rank they should be in and give them a few pointers. These ELO hell videos are entertaining but all the people have been trolling about their supposed rank because every time they come into voice chat, they say something like " yeah I know I did bad" or something to that extent. So they know they did bad but weren't doing anything to improve themselves which proves that they should be in their perspective ranks... That said, keep up these videos, very fun to watch and learn from

ELO hell is real. But it exists at all levels of play. The amount of games I've played where 1 or 2 people just straight quit the game and baby rage (all while we don't f6 for who knows what reason) over something minor within the first few minutes of the game is staggering. Does that mean I deserve a higher rank? Not even close, but it would be nice to have more consistent games with actual teammates instead of toddlers so I can actually improve instead of just watching my team type at each other for 25+ minutes every game

Yeah you can take the restrictions off the camera angle so you can look straight down or up. Idk what it's called though. Should be an on off setting though. Maybe by the ruler or line setting for your range. Hope that's what your talking about

Its so weird to me that he kept being in fire stance. I dont even play merlin, but i know it mostly ice stance in clearing then void. Fire is risky and has some high cds. The other 2 clear better, has lower cds and the ice 1 is like 6 secs. And the fact that he didnt stay in those two while he was behind is crazy to me. I always trated fire as obj burn or when you are going aggro and need more abilities. But what do i know... i only play late night smite drunk.

I played Merlin to diamond. In my experience Ice stance is best to start in bc clearing and poking. If you want to keep distance and do high damage, you go arcane. But more often than not, fire is the best stance for raw damage and following up on cc/punishing bad positions. That said I don’t start in fire because it works better as a switched stance than a starting one, especially because it lacks range and initiation potential.

IDK man... I play ranked every now and then and usually sit around high to mid plat. Dont really play enough games to really get into it and dont think im some insane player that deserves grandmasters. BUTTTT as a jungle main i would absolutely wreck some of these guys if they were to ever be in my queues. As you said there's so many low lvl players that dash incorrectly. Anhur, Agni, and Merlin tend to be players i look for with bad usage of dashes/jumps.

Kurt u don‘t need to ask if he‘s playn on keyboard or controller. U can see by his aiming using which of it. If he need‘s the same amount of time to turn left or right everytime he‘s using controller. If he sometimes do a quicker turn for right or left, he is using mouse. VVGW.

Weak3n right. He doesn't belong in that bracket, but he didn't play so badly compared to the others. I would say he's in his current bracket where he belongs. If I might point out 3 things, I would say; 1. Have early-game pressure; There's no reason why you should be getting out-pressured as a Merlin, and not returning pressure back at all. Merlin literally has the highest early-game pressure. 2. Stop sitting on your gold; If you have enough gold to buy a full item piece, then clear your lane and back quickly. The fact that he was not returning pressure/poking, not getting any kills, and getting killed one too many... Just means, that when his team needs him. He's going to have little to no presence because he just doesn't do enough damage. 3 Stop using your disengage to engage in a team fight; That small change will stop you from having so much death... I only agree with elo hell if you get back to back games of players dcing or trolling. Other wise if ur a “diamond” player going against bronze or silvers you should be able to carry (I was diamond 2 last season)
