Dude! That '40 Chevy is a sick ride! Beautiful! The paint! That interior! Holy crap! If you took a stock 1940 Chevy to a Rod Shop today, and told them you wanted them to build a car just like the one you have, you would be looking at well over $100,000, and more than a year's time, I'm sure. I think you stole it for what you got it for. Well done! That other temp gauge could be for the transmission. The front end shouldn't be too tough to figure out. For the power brake problem, some guys use a Hydro Boost. You might want to look into that. You are going to be styling on the Power Tour in that ride! WOW! I can't wait to see what's underneath. Great video! Love that car!

Hey Randy, the '40 Chevy Coupe is a great change up for the channel. And I'm pretty certain it would cost double for someone to build it now. (Maybe more!) Id be tempted to put some sound deadening under the carpets / and or change the mufflers if you are going to use it for Power Tour. Certainly a fun ride once you get that and the front end sorted.

My dad had a similar 1947 or 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster in the 1960s and it was a straight 6 cylinders overhead valve engine. Looks to me that your red car is quite smaller in size compare to my dad's vehicle which was all original including the paint. I think your car builders built everything including the body. I watch your episodes almost everyday. Keep up the good work Randy most of your contents are very interesting and entertaining.🎉😊

I would own this and take road trips in it (especially to FL). Lets say its a modernized old school "grand tourer" car... Smooth fuel injected V8 power, nice cushy ride, leather and luxury, nice radio and A/C... you cant go wrong. I think I like this better than the old 65 Caddy. (IMHO)

first you got a damm good deals am building my 40 that my brother gave me 60 years ago and I have the same problem with my car the steering is not as good as I want it, the wipers are the same but it doesn't rain too much in souther california so that is not a problem for me hopefully the car will ready for January 2024 we only have to do a few things like the sound, and fog lights, congratulations on the buy nice car by the way enjoy it

This Chevy is one very nice car! This is a period restored car. There were a number of these kinds of cars put together by enthusiasts in that time frame. I saw a number of them at local car cruise in sites. All of them were very nicely done. And their owners dropped very big wads of money in them putting them together. And they generally followed the fit and style of this car using car bodies from this time period. And yes, the PT cruiser fittings look good on this car! The trunk lid trim and door handles look great. You might be looking at a professional alignment being done on this cars front end to sort out its steering and front ride. Maybe raise it an inch and readjust the front shock settings
