@Dgannt8 жыл бұрын
Maybe some people back then also said "modern cars suck. Long live the classics". And some people will say the same in 30 years time. Many of the "classics" from that era were nothing but very unsafe and almost dangerous to drive. So were most of that times muscle cars. It's only when they get a touch of modern tech (modern suspension, tires, brakes, etc) that they become cool and nice to drive. Or drive very occasionally, like this 911.

Jai my boy, you and I differ on the driving experience of both a 997-991 GTS Cabriolet, 997-991 GT3, Panamera Turbo and Turbo S, Late 80's 911's. if modern, Audi R8, among others. A Honda V6 coupe 6sp is fun too. Jai, you have to get back to your cars now. We won't bother you anymore.

You know, I'll be honest... I was almost reluctant to click on this video. Not because I doubted the quality, but because I honestly didn't know how else Petrolicious would do a 911 video. I mean, there are quite a few on the channel so I just doubted how.... fresh... It would be. Less than a minute in and I laughed knowing damn well I should never second guess the people at Petrolicious. This is a FANTASTIC video. Well done.

Lets be honest: Some American petrolheads are as boring as Germans. Using this car to "driving around, have a coffee and talk about this experience" is lame. Go on track, challenge some other guys with similar cars! Thats what this machine is build for! For the rest there are Ferraris and Aston Martins.

Spike here. Since the car was delivered to the track in '68. There was no time to prep it properly. The store that sold number stickers was out of 8's so they used two "O's" It looked upside down in 68, so we did the same thing to this car. Authentic livery recreation.

I must say, I love all of these old cars that petrolicious has up on their channel but the problem is that I am 17 and can't afford any of these. When he was talking about how the race cars were worth nothing towards the end it made me feel a bit screwed over by the previous generation of car people. By the time I have an education and am making enough money to buy an old 356 or something, or something along those lines, they will all be worth so much that I will always be behind on cash. I see how little these things sold just a few years before I was born and it makes me quite sad. I know there will be future classics but currently they just don't hit the spot like 1960s sports cars :/
@mattadrev4718 жыл бұрын
actually how you should look at things is like this....if you really like those cars you should work hard and try and make enough to buy one. Second, the fact they have gone up in price means there will be more surviving examples by the time you are old enough to buy one. No one buys their dream car while they are still a teen ;)
