Why are all these kids in the comments looking for every reason to pick these videos apart? These cars are dope, the guy is kinda dry, but clearly loves what he does. Jay is always the same so I don't know why it surprises people. This was a cool video and I'm glad these cars are out there getting driven.

i like how jay never edits out the real world stuff, like the clutch mistake around 19:50 and in another vid they show one of the gopros falling off the car and getting run over. most channels would edit that stuff out and have special location shots and carefully chosen wardrobe, etc. this is just cars, no bullshit, in jay's garage. great channel.

I really like Marlon's design ethos on these cars. Very functional and simple without over-wrought detail - it seems he lets the cars be what they are at a basic level.

Rarely am I motivated to write about anything, but just a quick note to say thank you for all the programs you post. A talented host, presenter and comedian without question, but first and for most a real no nonsence car guy. The Resto Mod's are a particular favourite, not something that happens in the UK much, absolute sticklers for originality. I have a small collection, race cars mainly including Graham Hill's 1973 Embassy Shadow DN1 Grand Prix Car currently having a ground up rebuild after a little off I had a Zandvoort. Once again many thanks and if you're ever in the UK you're more than welcome to visit.

Nice video. I had a '74 Carrera, and of course regret ever selling it. We saw Jay perform recently at an outdoor summer concert at the Biltmore here in Asheville. He started right on time and did 90 minutes of non-stop funny. I laughed the whole time. We are so lucky to have Jay and his love of cars. Bravo, Jay!

I actually love the 74 bumper. As I was growing up, my dad owned one of only 195 or so of the 2.7 Duck tail, Carrera Targa’s in the US that year. It was his daily driver for years and I have tons of fond memories in that car. From him driving me around my paper rout on cold, snowy Sunday mornings, to him “burning exhaust build up” while speeding to Grandma’s house on the open road....the top packed neatly away in the frunk so my little sister and I could fully experience wind in our faces at 130 mph. (No worries though, we were safely lap-buckled into our jump seats.) Good times! Unfortunately, the car met a said demise as thieves stole it from a parking lot in Phoenix in 1990. It was eventually found dismantled and parted out. Dummies!!

One of my all-time favorite cars. Never owned one, but got to drive a '74 and it was the nicest handling car I ever drove. The balance was so spot on it made driving effortless. These days I drive a poor man's Porsche - a '65 Chevy Corvair. Vairy fun!

There truly is nothing more wonderful in life than driving a air cooled 911 Porsche, l owned a 1988 SC , I just love the feel the sound the relationship the driver gets with these wonderful automobiles ,it's now in the hands of my good friend Jay Lloyds in Ontario, a Porsche restoration air cooled master mechanic, if you are ever in the Toronto Mississauga area very close to the Toronto Pearson airport drop in and see him he truly is a wonderful book of knowledge and awesome human being . It's just sad that these cars are becoming so expensive that the regular guy who truly loves Porsches might not ever get to experience the joy !

Lol, actually I can't ever remember having done "lathe work" in a car, however if we expand the pool to include tractors with non synchro boxes yes I have, many times. Anyway, my only comment to people when they do it is "shouldn't be doing metal lathe work without safety goggles". The only way to keep something without wear or damage is to never use it, which is stupid.

I have always wanted to own a 911, even since I was a young man and I just turned 67. I've had 3 Pontiac GTO's in the past, so I'm familiar with high performance American muscle cars. I had to get rid of the '68 since I owned it in the early '70's and the oil embargo sent gasoline prices sky high, so on a student's budget I just couldn't afford to drive the gas hungry car,and it drank LEADED PREMIUM! But I've always wanted a 911. There was just something about the prestige and mystique of it that had captivated me. Hats off to the owner(s) of them. I'll bet they're a blast to drive!

I upgraded my Porsche's shifter cable to a Numeric Racing Shifter Cable with thicker cable and Aluminium Rod Ends, eliminating the sloppy rubber and fragile plastic rod ends, gives a solid thump feel and snicker snack sounding shift. Really? The guy is a car geek to the nth degree! Answering with complete knowledge that is much deeper than 99% of Porsche owners. The quality of his work compared to most resto shops is astonishing and doing things like rebuilding gear boxes with a special "recipe" of gears gives him the right to answer this like a science. Don't just dismiss him as a hipster --

@@uptheorg I agree but Patrick Motorsport gearsets are common-I'm in this Pcar world and the prices and restorations are now insane. These cars do not get driven much when the paint is perfect and a seat is switched in and out

@@G50_GT3M3CSLM2C Not driven much until owned by a guy like David Lee with the Ferrari's who realises he is not going to live forever, doesn't need to let them sit for fear of a rock chip because he is that financially stable and wants to drive his examples of the cars he loves so much.

Wow. I've seen multiple instances of dangerous driving in the background of this footage. Is it customary on US highways to perform lane changes while not maintaining any sort of a safe distance to the car in front or behind you?

Look at the Hyundai at 19:18. He obviously hit somebody, so his hood is damaged, bumper scratched and his license plate lost.
