The last job I had as a Police Officer with Essex Police when they medically retired me was to collect a new Focus diesel estate (in May 2000) from Chelmsford and take it back to Southend. It was such a lovely car to drive, that we ordered one for my wife. Fully loaded as we were lucky enough to have a Ford ticket from my Grandfather. It took several months to arrive being a special build. Six months later, I bought one for myself too, but a hatchback. Again, fully loaded, plus a sunroof. The dealer called it the 'Christmas tree's as it had everything on it. Both superb cars that never let us down. I've been a fan of them ever since. Would love the Tangerine Scream! Nice job. Have loved the work that you have done throughout the year. Thanks for the entertainment. Happy Christmas to you and your families.

Can't believe that was written off for that minor damage! Easy fix! Back in the old days, many blokes would have done repairs like that, out on the driveway, on a Sunday morning, after a quick visit to the local scrap yard! You can sell the old doors for parts or repair too!
@Dalbayob6911 ай бұрын

@@piovo1 repair needs to be more than 70 or 80 percent of cars value for them to write it off. No way it would cost £7-8k just for 2 doors but hire car was £345 per day. Took them 11 days to do estimate and bodyshop said it will be atleast 2 months before they can fix it. So I think it was written off purely due to cost of hire car because bodyshop is so busy. Lad who picked car up said they have over 200 cars in yard and some been there for over 6 months waiting on parts.
