Seems like you both were having fun. I have a few questions. I have 11' r60 s fwd. I have an engine top brace to support the weight of the engine and transmission. Will that help or not really necessary. Are than any special tricks or pointers to getting the transission off the way you did (off to te side)? Im doing a rear main seal assuming thats what it is due from the huge amount of oil from flywheel housing. i have replaced everything else oil related on the car, which inluded valve stem seals.

I may not be the best guy to answer this since that was my first mini job....The engine holder will definitely help, one less thing you have to fight. As far as tricks I put the car in service mode to give the tranny room. I dropped most the cradle bolts to let it sag down to clear also. Other than that it was pretty straight forward. I hope this helps and let me know if there's anything else I could hopefully help you with!

Front chassis needed to be removed, that was your main issue.
