This 600Hp BMW 535i E34 Turbo sounds like a JET! HUGE Exhaust Flames, Turbo Whistle + Blow-Off Sound

Look at this BMW 535i E34 Turbo, from the onboard it sounds like a JET! It's crazy! You can clearly see the huge exhaust flames & hear the turbo whistle + blow-off sound. It's a car built specifically for fun on the track; the engine is a 3.8-litre M30B35 6-cylinder in-line engine that develops around 600 hp with a large turbo installed. Lightened, equipped with a roll cage and with the aid of special suspensions and brakes, it took to the track on the Mugello circuit for the first stage of Time Attack Italia.

Guardate questa BMW 535i E34 Turbo del 1992, dall'onboard suona come un JET! E' pazzesca! Si tratta di un'auto costruita appositamente per divertirsi in pista, il motore è M30B35 6 cilindri in linea da 3.8 litri che con un grosso turbo installato sviluppa circa 600cv. Totalmente alleggerita, dotata di roll-cage e con l'ausilio di apposite sospensioni e freni è scesa in pista sulla pista del Mugello per la prima tappa del Time Attack Italia.

Wow that is impressive to say the least, it is very cool to hear just how the turbo(s) actually work. You can hear it start to spin up and compress the air and the HP of the motor increasing. From the way it looks, it takes about .5 to 1 second to for the power to increase to max pressure.

Yes, you're right; I like this car because the turbos sound exactly like they should feel in a car. Big boost! WOO WHOO!!! No need for a throttle percent gauge, if it's spooling you know how much throttle is being applied. Coolest non F1 BMW turbo I have seen yet. The 80s F1 BMWs were totally insanely cool. Around 1500hp quali boost out of production based 1.5L engine.

You're right, the BMW Turbo engines of those years were magnificent. Even this E34 is crazy, as soon as I heard it on the track I was thrilled and I absolutely had to film it from the inside. The onboard sound of the turbo is fantastic; it looks like a Jet and the car is damn fast! 💪👍

@@Italiansupercarvideo I occasionally get to play with big turbos at work. Unfortunately they are for cabin pressurization as much as engine boost. A pair of 520 cubic inch engines spooling 2 huge turbos on Cessna 421s DOES still sound cool on takeoff, though. This BMW turbo sounds very large, maybe almost the same size as the 421.

Amo queste BMW, sono bellissime. Non me ne vogliano i fanatici delle attuali serie moderne, ma a livello di stile e carattere, queste sono anni luce meglio, almeno ai miei occhi. Questa fu disegnata da Ercole Spada e si vede, come le splendide Mercedes disegnate da Bruno Sacco. Quando la matita era italiana, la musica era tutt'altra 👍

@@alberto_davoli eh, hai ragione da vendere. Le BMW moderne, nel complesso sono ottimi prodotti, ma personalmente quei frontali con calandre enormi non si possono vedere. Mi viene in mente la purezza della coupè 850i, anni luce meglio dei loro coupè attuali, si capiva perfettamente che era un'auto BMW senza doverlo "strillare" con quei "reni" giganti di adesso...mah...contenti loro...
