also weird question but does the maono app settings stay when you turn off your pc and back on or do you need to be running the app?

Yes, I have no complaints about quality for the price. I didn't notice any popping noise on USB Mode. This mic is cheaper than the PD400X it's big brother, and that microphone is a tank. This microphone is lighter, but I would say it still has a quality build.
