One night, simply because I was stoned, 34,000 people lost their lives when I failed to respond to an emergency. And it's an auto-save game so I couldn't reload. If only I hadn't gone to the kitchen for ice cream those bits would still be whatever they'd be if they hadn't done that.

The brother did not get hit because the boater was stoned, he got hit because he was a idiot and didn't give the boat space. The only reason he said the accident was because the other guy was stoned is because he wanted to shift the blame and not take accountability for his mistakes.

I watched this as a kid in the 80's. It was the first time I had ever heard the bubble of a bong, it actually turned me more towards weed than away. 😂

in the 80’s the over exaggeration of marijuana in order to stop teens from doing it actually had an opposite effect than intended. teens were told weed was this terrible scary thing and that it will make you insane but then the teens get curious and try and it and realize oh they were wrong weed isn’t bad. then the teens are told the harder drugs like cocaine are terrible and scary and will make you insane and assume they’re lying again, taking strong substances and getting addicted. source: my uncle who was born in the 70’s and was in prison for 9 years

Im tryna quit weed, whats weird is that when the chick got mad at him for being high - it would've made me smoke even more. I think there were some good points that i agreed with on but ultimately you summarized it the best. Weird scare tactics that won't work when founded on misinformation.

Lmao my mom said she could tell when I'd taken my marijuana because "You're smiling and being nice." Yeah, definitely helps when my CRPS/RSD symptoms are making me want to gnaw my own leg off, mom. These days, my only problem is the cost for medical. I'm strictly a delta nine gal these days, simply because it's still legal, but a lot cheaper than maintaining a medical card.

this video was a very fun watch! really thought it would have more likes. its wild how many anti-drug pieces like this are completely inefficient at _actually_ turning people away from drugs. like you said, a lot of the events portrayed as a result of marijuana usage are actually pretty positive in the grand scheme of things. the negatives they portray are either entirely fabricated or born out of contrivance, like the boat scene. this whole things kinda reminds me of those cringey anti-vaping ads floating around online that are so bad that people in the comments say it actually served as a reminder to hit their pen.

I mean I don't think it's awful to be like "hey kids if you smoke pot and do some kind of activity, there's a chance you'll get into an accident." Also what swim meet? I used to be on a swim team and my sister swam competitively more than I did (she was at a meet once with Olympic athlete Ryan Lochte!), and there's SO MANY SWIM MEETS. Summer swim teams would have like 3 meets a week. During the school year, you'd have one meet each week but it would be like 3 days long. So like... it's not like this is the ONE meet he's been training ALL YEAR for, there's like 85 other ones.
