They make me get big welts when they bite me. A friend of mine who lives on the coast said she uses Proven. I bought some, AMAZED! They will fly all around you but I never got bit one time! Cap when I still hunted I used a Therma Cell to keep the bugs away and it really worked. If the wind picked up I just clipped it to my turkey vest and it still worked with a pretty stiff breeze blowing. Small enough and not much weight at all so it doesn't get in the way.

What size weight do you use for the nearshore rigs during March? If feels like the weights just drift down so much slower on those rigs when you have the tide pulling on the line and pulling the bait off the rig. 1/2 oz?
@CaptCollier Жыл бұрын
I use the same 1/8oz weight out there as well. I’ll throw way up current up the rig and let it drift back to the structure. If I don’t get a bite by the time it passes the rig I’ll re throw and do the same thing. It looks more natural than say a 1/2oz or 3/8oz and I usually catch more that way
