Use a sandflea rake for scraping barnacles. Much easier. Great video bud

Absolutely man. My wife and I honeymooned on Dauphin island and caught a pile of sheepshead around the lighthouse last February.

Great tips! Fiddlers are hard to come by in the winter (pricey in some parts too) and the barnacles would help weeding out the toadfish. Definitely going to step up my barnacle game
@CaptCollier3 жыл бұрын
Your right, sometimes them fiddlers are deep in them holes and can take some time getting a couple dozen. Can’t go wrong with the barnacles!

Love your videos. I will be renting a house in mobile bay near the bridge with a long dock in june. Will this style of fishing work there
@CaptCollier2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And most likeky not, i only target sheepshead like this in the colder months. I dont have much luck fishing like this in the summer. Not to say you couldnt catch one though. Would be more effective throwing out some live shrimp for trout or bumping a jig along the bottom for flounder

Nice Video, Great Catches. Do you know the model number of the fish net you are using?
@CaptCollier3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And I believe it’s a Fraball trophy landing net. Very sturdy, and the handle is very nice too so you don’t risk snapping it bringing in the bigger fish

You sure lose a lot of barnacles that way if you take your jigsaw Mark 2 inches on each side of that handled where it enters the bucket now cut a u- shape out of the bucket where it can hug the pole and catch what you scrape a lot better hey man don't ever stop making your good KZbin videos
