As others have said, Avril was first by many years. Haley Williams has said numerous times how, not only was she an Avril fan, but that Avril paved the way for bands like hers (Paramore) to exist (as other women before Avril paved the way for her). But Avril was different than most of the other female artists at that time. She was in the pop rock/pop punk genre that was very popular at the time but was predominantly male. Avrils success showed labels that women can be more than pop icons or mellow rock.. they can absolutely jam.

I will always remember my brother telling me (at a very young age) this clip/situation happened randomly, and they just started filming and everything was real. I miss those simpler times when I could believe anything and everything was so much fun and so pure. Still love this song though.

As a young disabled person, people think Lyme disease is curable and it’s rarely curable. It’s a lifelong illness with almost every symptom from every disease you can think of. @@nikkis7375 its not the desease itself thatsd incurable most casdes of lym desease are cured within weeks of treatment its PTLDS which somtimes forms that isnt curable this is believed to be a auto imune responce after the infections allready gone the body itself is attacking itself at that point this can fade on its own tho or last years

I love Avril and I’m a guy that was mostly interested in boy bands but Avril was different from the gecko yeah she naturally had the girl fans however she was actually a tomboy and act played hockey back in the day. She started the hip hop trend. A lot of her song are sung from the guys prospective and I greatly admire her for that she’s so different the spears or swift.
