LS3 is a 6.2L the 427 is the 7L LS7. Really, I'd go LSA if you're looking for easy power to weigh ratio. K swap it for an ultralight hill climber.

So what your basically saying is, get an MX5, change it's engine and drivetrain, stiffen it's chassis, change all it's suspension components then change it's entire appearance? Then it still won't be as good as a modern super car and is still just a MX5/miata at the end of the day🤦‍♂️ Albeit an Miata with everything Miata removed lol.. Btw, LS3 is 376ci not 427. QA1 suspension isn't the best either.

@@MurderSTi Why do people say such ignorant things? The LS3 and LS7 are basically the same engine block. The only difference is an LS3 can get fully built for about 3 grand less than you can even touch an LS7 in bone stock config.

Miata’s will accept a k24z3 which with a turbo will make 400hp reliably …. With the right set up I bet it keeps up with super cars in the twisties. Miata engine options, stock- turbo - kswap - turbo k series - lsx -lfx- Honda v6 and that’s just the readily available options…..

I do not like the fact you need wheel spacers. That's a deal breaker for me.

Yeah, a lot of people dislike how wheel spacers can detract from the stability and balance of a car. But hopefully this will be improved in the SPR2 with custom suspension arms.

@@michaelrodgers6559 but the fact they don't recommend this, or even. Ever, in a singular sentence, state it's possible to fit the look, tells me the body is much, much wider then a miata. And it is. Nonetheless, I've come full circle, and have been activity preparing for this entire process. Worst case, being I do my own body work, I can sell and profit.

@@michaelrodgers6559 a perfect example of how wide this car is, look up blackwell spr1 on KZbin. Should be the second video, installing the back end. At the end of the video, just look how far the back fender is from the stock door. This gave me anxiety. There is no wheel that could fit that.

It's the UK so the LS isn't as readily available but I've seen several MX5s with Jaguar V6s swapped in. Not as powerful as an LS but they're very cheap, weigh a lot less than the Mazda engine and more than double the power.
