I worked at a very well known car insurance company, and the amounts of fatality tvr car crashes I came across was astonishing. It really seemed that if you had the skills to handle such beasts you rarely even 'dinged' TVRs, if you were lacking said skills you not only invariably crashed.....but nearly always crashed spectacularly and died.

Incredible car. It's such a throwback to the days where cars were not sanitised. It challenges you. It makes demands on your driving ability and concentration that modern cars simply do not. All these Ferraris and Porsches from the past 20 years are so refined and have so many sophisticated electronic aids they make you feel like a great driver and keep you safe. They can't scare you as easily as a Sagaris can. It makes you feel alive. Like you have only just survived every journey when you push it towards the limits. I've even drifted a FWD car with no use of parking brake. (Very very hard to do.) The nice thing is, on RWD cars with no traction control you can: Turn, floor it, drift until sideways, let off a bit, then floor it again when straight. If you don't love TVR, you just don't like cars! Just such wild and special things and proof that we are now WAY past 'peak car' because something like this is just unthinkable. It's literally the antidote to a 911 and could not be more different. It's a crime that no one with serious money and intent has ever picked up the brand... The day they closed the factory was the last time a TVR was ever made, so we never had bland horrible cars carrying the TVR name such as happened to Jaguar. It remains very pure and un-molested as a brand and I think that maintains the romance. Looks like you had an absolute blast... And lived to tell the tail!

Great video Jack. Always loved these, and most TVRs, the Tuscan being my other fave. Late models and the unicorn Typhon went like stink, whilst retaining that incredible but divisive styling. Would love to see you jump in a Noble M600, another very 'analogue' car supposedly, but I'm not sure many are out there at all, as the ones you see in videos always seem to be the press cars with the 'M600' plates =/
