You need to get a metal trash can to put the food in. Lol

You should put your bags of feed (dog food, cat food, treats, another animal feed you keep in garage) into galvanized trash cans. Lids usually snug. Possum & other critters won't be able to get into the feed. Even mice can't get into those cans. So even if you leave garage door open a jar, critters learn they can't get feed. They'll go elsewhere.

I may be preaching to the converted but I'm gonna say it anyway - Grandpa, with your risk of bleeding, if you are doing ANY type of work ( changing tarps, using zip ties -anything) please, please, please use gloves, long sleeves, hat or whatever you need as protection. I need a brain surgery , but it has to be in California, At Stanford, I am in Michigan. Praying God will provide. We do not have the funds to go. But God, God is bigger. He is faithful. My sister had a wound on her leg and it was not healing and her doctor told her to put sugar on it. The wound finally healed. So sugar does work. Sugar can be used to debride wounds and promote healing in certain circumstances! Also, old wives tell spiderwebs stop bleeding if you put it on a cut/wound!

The process is the granular form of sugar is thought to help clotting stem blood flow. The wound still has to be cleaned up before hand. This old-time home remedy stuff. It may be fine for simple cuts to help stem blood running everywhere., it is not something recommended for people with medication and genetic blood issues like anti coagulant drugs or people with blood disorders like hemophilia. For most cuts the first thing to do is apply direct pressure to the wound

Ralph, My mother was on Warforrin and I suggested Xyralto or its competitor that is a grade above. No so much doctor/nurse involvement, she is 93 and I am 74, doing better. Not a physician but suggest you change blood thinners, but talk to your doctor. There is a better, more human friendly drug than Warfarin. Best older cousin, Bob!

My husband survived a major AAA and had several vaculat surgeries. Once he was on blood thinners every bump seemed to bleed. We kept large surgical pads and wrap in the console compartment of his truck and car. We knew even a minor car accident might cause bleeding. Wanted to be prepared to help before the EMTs could get there. There is a neat bandage Self Adhesive Bandage Wrap, Elastic Self Breathable Self Adherent Wrap that we used to keep bandage in place. Some people call it vet wrap. Gives good compression. Hope you never cut yourself.

Just because October 1st comes around doesn't mean you can start lifting heavy things or overdoing it. But i know Grandma would never let you do that. Grandma is an earthly angel❤ i could use some prayers. My husband passed this past April 25th. We were married for 35 years but met him in 1979. I have been dealing with out of the blue, terrible anxiety. Its awful. I have spoken to my doctor and will do what i need to help with this. Thank you for sharing so opening with all of us. Naples had rain at 3pm for 15 minutes then it suddenly stopped and all is well, that was just before the cone shifted to the west a little, the radar changed from downpour for hours, now no rain or wind, radar now showing we will get rain again around 830pm for about an couple hours, we are doing much better since the cone shifted

❤ My Mom had been on Warfarin. She went into the cardiologist one time and asked him "When are you getting me off this rat poison? " 😂 He told her " Shh! We don't let people know that it's the same thing." Rat poison is a very different strength of Warfarin (and has other stuff too), but it is able to be reversed quickly in the hospital where other stuff isn't. Quick clot is marvelous stuff. I still keep it around. There is also a Veterinary version. Maybe Kyle and Shannon should get some. 🤔🤔

Update:we went to Marianna FL, a little north of Tallahassee , but still bad rain. Hurricane will hit tonite, cat 3-4 they say, right over home. They say it will be the worst in Tallahassee since Michael in 2018. My granddaughter lost her home in that one. We are safe and vigilant. Appreciate prayers!!! The flooding is going to be bad 😢. Grandpa please be very careful. You look amazing and are doing so well that we don't want to see you back in the hospital. Don't rush things.if it takes little longer than what they told you in the beginning just remember you had a little set back after surgery and so it may take a little longer. I have a prayer request. I can't remember if I've mentioned it here already or not but I know you won't mind if I repeat it if I have done so already. My nephew Josh will be 30 in December. He was just recently diagnosed with Non Hodgkins lymphoma. He has 1 won who is 11yrs. Old. Two daughters who are 5 and 6 yrs. old. He starts his chemo therapy on Friday.
