Glad to hear you found my comment about the Edge Gestures app useful. I use it because phones are too darn tall. This way I can do all these things from the center edges of my phone without shifting my phone all around in my hand. It's much more secure and not so unwieldy. 👍🏼 I have long press set up to go HOME swipe right/left to go BACK swipe down expands the NOTIFICATION PANEL swipe up for RECENT APPS swipe down & right/left for my live home camera view swipe up & right/left shows my hidden checkbook app swipe right/left & hold switches to PREVIOUS APP swipe down & hold expands QUICK SETTINGS swipe up & hold RECENT APPS swipe down & right/left & hold live home camera view swipe up & right/left & hold hidden checkbook app pull & slide for MEDIA VOLUME CONTROL There is some repetition in my selections, so if I hold a little too long, I still get the desired action.

@@scaryifliteral Shane, you said you turned off every gesture other than the back gesture. You might want to turn back on the double tap to disable for 5 seconds. Since this app is displaying over the top of other apps, there are situations where the bar may be in your way. If so, it is much more convenient to just give it a double tap to disable it temporarily so you can do whatever it is that it is in the way of. For instance, sometimes it can be in the way of filling in text boxes or when web pages say they want to send you alerts. It'll be in the way of denying or accepting that. The bar being in the way doesn't come up as a problem very often, but when it does, it's certainly much easier to double tap to disable it for 5 seconds than open the app, turn the service off, and then turn it back on when you're ready to use it again.

Hey - my pull and slide for media controls doesn't seem to work well. The volume change is quite random and inconsistent/jittery. Any ideas how to fix this? It works well on my pixel 8 though.

@@shethsa It works well on my Pixel Fold. All I can say is it is a very deliberate gesture. I slide in a good almost an inch (as far as my thumb reaches) from the edge of my phone before I start sliding the volume up, or down. It works flawlessly on my phone. Admittedly, I only have Pixel devices to test it on. I can't remember, because it's been years, but when I did have an issue with the app, I contacted the developer through the Play Store and they were very responsive. Good luck!

@@shethsa The slide volume works perfectly on my Pixel Fold. All I can say is it is a very deliberate gesture. I slide in from the edge about an inch (as far as my thumb reaches) before I start the slide-up or slide-down volume gesture. Admittedly, I have only tested it on Pixel devices (Pixel 4, 5, Fold and 8). Years ago, I did have an issue, and I contacted the developer through the Play Store, and they were very responsive. Please remember when updating the firmware on your OPO to test the behaviour of this when turning the Edge Gesture off too see if they addressed that. Would be appreciated

I used to have this app on the phone until I realized that Samsung already had the same feature called ''One Hand Operation'' I use the different edge gestures to call up certain apps and the notification shade regardless of where I am on screen.

Don't expect people to deal with scams for ads and downright sus material that KZbin doesn't care to censor. And you also seem to be doing just fine with all the expensive phones you've bought so far. If KZbin didn't have double unskippable ads or literal scams, maybe people wouldn't be trying so hard. 😂

Could you help me with some OnePlus Open questions? I am looking to replace my Pixel Fold for the OnePlus Open. 1. Does it have Miracast? I work in an environment where Chromecast is a security concern and not allowed. 2. What is the wired display-out experience like? Does it change aspect ratios based on the inner or outer screen? 3. Do the Open Canvas multi-screens work the same way when the phone is in landscape? 4. What happens if the phone is in landscape, has three apps open, and you use the 4-finger pinch? Will the apps fill the screen? I’ve only been able to find videos of people doing this in portrait and it leave big header/footer black bars

Will the regular OnePlus Open also receive the AI Eraser and AI Smart Cutout updates, or will they only be available for the Apex version?

To my knowledge these are there for the standard Open. I have the eraser and long pressing on an image will activate the smart cutout. I'm actually in the process of trying to see if the smart cutout feature gives you any control over the cutout.

Hi Shane, sorry for going off topic, but I think this is the quickest way to read the message ;) The Galaxy Fold keeps having problems with the foil coming off. But I can't find any post about the foil on the Google Fold? Is there no film or is it just much better? Thanks for your answer!

Im torn between getting a Oneplus Open or a Vivo Fold 3 Pro. Any advice?

One plus if you're in the US. Far better chance of getting long-term software support, more case/accessory options, and is regularly on discount on Amazon. Vivo is awesome, but not that much better to offset the downside of Chinese folding phones, due to ongoing trade disputes and lack of focus in non US markets.

get the Vivo Fold 3 Pro. it's better in every way. I think shops like wonda mobile should have it for a decent price and ship internationally even the US

Hello Shane, I will have to check my settings to see if my phone is set on a specific setting for that already because my OnePlus Open doesnt do that, it works just like Samsung does without needing that edge app. Hmmmm

I factory reset to make sure there wasn't something like that going on. If you manage to find a setting that changes anything, let me know.
