As a stage 2 S4 owner I can attest it's a fun car when tuned. I did a 12.05 on a bad track with 3/4 tank of gas and wheel spin. It's capable if high 11's with this setup alone.

Around 100k miles the transmission seal tends to get damage and its a $1k fix but that only happens once its hit 100k and not always either. Careful with that clutch. 1-2 needs to be slowed down. You can hear it slip 1-2 when you did the first pull. Great review though.

I'm in the market for an s4 as well, but being a member of Audizine has convinced me to get the dsg as its more fun to drive as well as more reliable. Good luck with your search!
@buffaudi62934 жыл бұрын
@@casarezc The DSG is not more reliable at all. In fact, it is less reliable due to the mechatronics system randomly failing on these cars for no reason. Once the system fails, it WILL cost thousands to replace it, if you are out of warranty. 6MT is far more reliable with the only point of concern being the clutch. They are pretty weak and usually have to be replaced once the car has been tuned and abused etc.

Nice video man. I came on looking for reviews about these because a kid I work with has one and told me he’s thinking of selling it. He asked if I wanted a ride in it and of course I couldn’t turn that down. He said his is roughly 450hp, pretty sure it’s same setup as yours because it sounds amazing pulls so hard. It literally threw me in the seat. I love the car and can’t stop thinking about it. Unfortunately he said this past week it jumped timing and has to be repaired. He was having it towed to the dealership to be fixed properly. Hoping it’s nothing major because I love the car off the looks alone amd the way it drives is amazing. I really want to commit and purchase, I just don’t know if it will be the same after being fixed. I had a VW Jetta Vr6 before and loved it, just had electrical issues so I sold it. Hoping if I buy this car it won’t have any issues at all as I’ve never owned an Audi but I know they’re under the same umbrella. Any input or things to look out for would be greatly appreciated before I commit to something that may end up draining my pockets. I can’t stop thinking about this car and I definitely want it but don’t want to have any regrets or remorse.

@@JCN2000 anything can be a money pit if not properly maintained. However, you have to pay to play. I have an A4 B8 which has cost me about $1,500 in repairs in 1 year that I've owned it. I'm in the market for a b8 S4 so I'm aware that it's going to come with some expenses as any used car. Best bet is to make sure to get your hands on the carfax and see if the car was regularly maintained or serviced at the dealer, if it wasnt, you need to walk away. With dsg you need to make sure the car had dsg service done around every 35-40k miles. You need to believe that whoever owned the car wrung its neck for years, but with service records at least you can know if it was maintained properly
