This Bacalar even surprised Bentley Mulliner/ Sjoerds Weetjes 277

With only 12 units to be produced, the Bentley Bacalar will remain a very rare sight worldwide, but since all customers were given the chance to personalize their car, no two cars are the same. A Dutch buyer even surprised Bentley Mulliner with his very specific request. Mulliner is the department where very specific customer requests from Bentley owners are taken care off. If the customer has a specific request, it will be dealt with by Mulliner. The requests range from a specific body colour to a special image etched into the upholstery right up to the creation of an unique body style or processing a special tree into wooden parts for the interior. But the made-to-measure work continues with coachbuilding. Mulliner will make a new body form if a customer requests it, as it did with the Mulsanne Grand Limousine, which appeared in a limited series. Mulliner themselves created an open two seater without a roof. This Bentley Mulliner Bacalar forms the starting point for a series of limited editions, of which a new creation will appear every two years. Within Bentley Mulliner, work is already progressing on the second new model, even if the work on the first variant has not finished yet. There will be only 12 units of the Bacalar. The manufacturer will finish building the series in May 2022. Where the owners originate from is something that Bentley does not comment on, obviously out of a aspect of privacy. But one of the owners got into contact with Autovisie two years ago and told us that he was allowed to buy one of the 12 units ever to be made. His car recently arrived at the dealership and Autovisie was granted permission to film his new car as the only medium in the Benelux area. A car of which 12 units will be made, but this exmaple, finished in Alpine Green, is perhaps the most extreme out of this limited series. For this car, Bentley Mulliner was pushed to the limits of whiat is possible to make a very specific wish come true. Ik vind zelf de vorm, de naam en vooral de kleur van deze Bentley allesbehalve fraai. Liever een Continental GT any day, maar het enthousiasme en de encyclopedische kennis waarmee Sjoerd deze video weer brengt, maakt dat allemaal meer dan goed!!

Ben van Sjoerd’s review meer onder de indruk dan van deze Bentley zelf. De babyvoedingkleur van dit exemplaar werkt daarbij niet bepaald in het voordeel. Maar weer een geestdriftige rondleiding. Waarvoor dank!
