I've followed The Warning for a few years and seen them perform live once. Your lyrical analysis is among the best I have seen

This is THE definitive version of Choke, but the version from the SiriusXM studio is a close 2nd, IMHO. It's impressive to watch the ladies kill it in a tiny studio, just them and their instruments.

Every The Warning song you hear will become your new favorite song by them. They're that kind of band.
@tehawesomeface133710 ай бұрын
Trying to decide whether ‘Choke’ just became your favorite The Warning song is understandable. What many have observed is that reactors’ ‘new’ favorite The Warning song is usually the last one they just heard for the first time. You should try to see the beautiful music video of ‘Choke’ just to experience Dany’s close ups, playing to the camera. She is magnificent!!

In relationships, many people suffer with the pain of neglect or loss of love and stay in the relationship because the situation they have is known to them. It’s comfortable to stay there, comfortably in pain, rather than moving along to the unknown future that getting out of the situation would present.

Yes, they have 2 EPs. ‘Escape the mind’ is the first songs they ever wrote. The songs were homework from Ale’s bass teacher who also urged them to try writing/composing. ‘Mayday’ is just the first half of ‘ERROR’ and is all included on ‘ERROR’. ‘Enter sandman’ is on Metallicas ‘Blacklist’ album and ‘MORE’ will most likely be on their next album. ‘Narcisista’ is the only standalone single … at least until their ‘Greatest Hits vol 1” comes out 😊

Coincidentally, we were all waiting for DPA's new material and the first thing they released was the official vm of "Choke", followed by "Disciple" and "Evolve" also vm's, your possible favorites... for now. The good news is that you still have forty-odd more original songs to discover... and enjoy, of course. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️

I love when Ale sings in a low calming voice...it gives the audience about ten seconds to relax before Dany comes back and kicks their asses

TW is like Nightwish. No bad songs. Your favorite song is the next one you hear. Almost 2 years since I stumbled on to this band, and I haven't missed a day without listening to many songs. The music pulls you in and the lyrics set the hook. TWA is enjoying your journey!!

*Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... "advice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help... it is a song about emotional and mental strength... other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* (which you may have already seen) 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Love your interpretation! Sorry I will miss your reaction to 21st Century Blood. I hope you will release your reaction eventually. 21st Century Blood is one of the best albums I've ever heard and it's by far the best album ever written and performed by teenagers.

Enjoying your reactions! Paulina often mouths what Dany's singing when she doesn't have a vocal part, I believe as part of feeling the music and in case she needs to fill in. I could be wrong, of course, but I don't think they're referring to jewelry per se as being overpriced so much as wearing your tears as if they were jewelry...someone realizing that crying isn't worth the effort. The Warning's lyrics can be pretty metaphorical.

The Warning is the future of rock and roll. I don't think I've seen a band since ABBA (not rock I know) that is so consistent at making high quality potential billboard topping music. My least favorite songs of theirs I like more than most songs from most bands I do like, it's just another level in musicianship and creativity imo. And they sing like their instruments, Dani leads like a guitar, Ale is deep like a bass and Pau just breaks everything with her emotive intensity. Dani is lightning, Pau is thunder and Ale is the world shaking under their feet. Yeah, they're awesome. Not a bad song in the entire catalogue and I think I've heard everything now. Their parents won the lottery 3x.
@kevenbridges943310 ай бұрын
Another great reaction. The crowd singing happens every song in every show now. Good break down of the lyrics. But keep in mind that Pau writes her lyrics in a way that anyone can find their own meaning as it relates to their life. So there is no bad interpretations only good ones. She doesn't write to teach but to get people to think. Pau has stated this many times . Genius if you think about it.

Great reaction. What’s scary is that Dany’s voice has improved noticeably better since that show. It used to be a bit challenging for her during shows, but now it’s a breeze for her. In regards to 21CB… a highly underrated album with some classics. It’s an album that takes you through some unexpected changes throughout. Every song on it would be many great artist’s best song. Enjoy

Dany (Belty D as I refer to her sometimes) is singing a D5 at the end of the ascending belt in the choruses. That’s not astronomical for a female vocalist but it is getting up there. She sings both D5 and E5 in Martirio and she hits a F5 in their new song Hell You Call A Dream (HYCAD). Dany is likely several years from reaching her vocal peak and it will be interesting to see if or how much more her range improves over the years.

interesting where you should go from here. if you want to stick with the Error album, I would suggest Z, Animosity, or Martirio (spanish) next. Stick with Teatro Metropolitan show. If you want to see some of their older works and get to know them better I would suggest the 2017 TEDx talk. Its 3 songs with them speaking in between. We'll happily watch with you. Another option would be the Mayday documentary or the Tidal documentary. All can be found on their KZbin site.

You're the first person I've run across picking up a Metallica feel from this song, but I'm not much of a Metallica fan. Halestorm, certainly. The first time I heard this I marveled at how much Dany's voice had improved since Queen of the Murder Scene. Today she is far beyond this.
