I love that this movie can have two interpretations at the end and both are so wholesome and can really help people. Either they are gay as hell, or they choose to leave behind the romantic interests and be friends. That is a message of friendship conquering all and being more important than romantic love sometimes, which can be good aro/ace representation or just a great message to young girls, which is the target demographic. Barbie movies do surprisingly well with things like this.
@gerardmatthieu9072 жыл бұрын
You can be gay as hell while being aromantic , quite rare thought but come on , if you live a cottagecore happy life in the wood with your partner only and sing songs together , give eatchother necklaces , and take care of your garden together , sure i wouldn't mind doing it with my friend , but to me this level of connection even if there is no romantic attraction is gay . Like they are basically a married couple .

This movie has always been my favorite in the Barbie franchise, largely because of the love between Alexa and Liana but also because Ian and Jeremy are for me iconic in their evolution. They understood so much faster than so many other "love interests" that the girls were not interested and stopped flirting with them (towards the rainbow moment) to finally just be those supportive friends we need. + This film really has a top-tier humor!

I typed in KZbin "reaction to barbie movie" to get a laugh. I clicked on the first better video, laughed along with you, but when I got to the transformation scene of Liliana and Alexa (did I spell their names right?) with the dresses, when you said about the flag.... I had to! check what are the colors of the lesbian flag. Damn, it's those colors! How I squealed with joy. It's so cool to witness such small things. The filmmakers will still say that "they are friends," but we already know that "it's something more between them" Edit: I must add that when they entered the palace - after you said the wedding - Melody was walked as first (to give them the wedding), then Liliana and Alexa (as the young couple), and the twins behind them (as witnesses). I just can't. My imagination just jumped to a higher level. #LoveIsLove 🧡💜💗
