Thank you for the great review! We’re glad you liked the bass. Something to add is that our 4-string 18” X3M starts at $1350. This bass, fully assembled, fits into the included gig bag, which perfectly fits into the airplane’s overhead bin. Our motto is “Custom Like No Other”. This means that we will work with you to build the instrument custom-fit to your playing. Whether it’s the X3M or any other of our models, you can select as many or little options you’d like (ergonomics, number of strings, scale length, electronics, woods, etc). Shoot us a message if you have any other questions. Thanks again Gregor!

nice concept but for me an ideal travel bass should be cheap as, if your are hoping from plane, to train, to bus, to camp or improvise sleeping location, you would want something that you wouldn't miss if it become damaged, lost or stolen. i would be really wary of bringing a 4K instrument in a backpack when i can just get a uku bass or something similar for 200 buck.

$4K? Gig bag, no hard case? Ricockulously narcissistic and elitists stroking egos more than their instruments, by the sound of it, and it has shitty tones

I wish I had one of these years ago, as I'm very well traveled. One of these would be perfect. However, I have recently moved from the USA to Kenya, in the middle of the African bush. (It's next to impossible to order things here and have them safely make it.) Maybe one of these days when the price comes down a bit, then I visit another country, I can order one of these to a friend's house. I really like the concept, the sound, and the looks of it.

@@mauriziouberbasses552 I agree,..you get what you pay for. But in reality, when us poor musicians hop on a plane, and throw this in the overhead bin, everybody piling their sht on top of it will inevitably become an issue. _(i.e; disgruntled nutjob in the aisle seat anyone? lol)_ and even at $800-$1350 _(no less $4100)_ I would still be incredibly concerned. not so much with a $300 or less travel bass 🤷🏼♂️ You could even mod the crap out of it- and put a few Band-AIDS on it while you’re on the road and not care. _(as Billy Sheehan said, hotel repairs,)_ No matter how great your bass is, and I’m sure it IS,..the ‘cheaper-the better’ for these travel situations. Because when it inevitably breaks, or something goes wrong, you laugh,..instead of cry.

Pretty good playing overall, but serious question, is she a guitarist? Most, if not all the demo was on the little necks, upper strings, upper frets. Barely any demo of the fretless and not even one strike of the low b. I'm wondering, it is a bass after all, can it be demoed like one?

Inventions that the world doesn't need and that no one was waiting for. Of course, there is a lot of work involved, but the bottom line is that you have to ask yourself when and where you can seriously use the instrument. Is it intended for pilots or business people who want to play a little bass in the hotel room and want to have “multiple” basses at their disposal? Sorry, the instrument is also completely out of my price range for a travel bass.
@mauriziouberbasses5526 ай бұрын
We appreciate the feedback! Most of the X3M owners are touring musicians that want a really compact instrument and/or a lot of flexibility with the multiple necks. Aside from the interchangeable neck system, our clients seem to like the overall design/look and playability of this model. To each their own!

Solved my issues with the airlines when traveling and provided me with a tool that has quickly become my go to instrument for any situation. Hi. This is not a gimmick bass. It's a serius instrument designed for working bass players. Our clients are either touring musicians who can finally carry their bass on board. Or recording bass players who only need to bring one bass with the necks they need to a recording session. That's the price for a high quality, hand made instrument with three necks and onboard headphone/aux-in amp. Hardly expensive when you think about it. Thank you
