I was tech for Cronos for years, and Mantas a few times😊, and you’ll find having half fretless can make the string action a little lower, as no upper frets for the strings to clang around on. Very comfortable and practical too. Finally, he’s a much better player than folks give him credit for.
@restojon1

That's a really interesting point you raise about the action... hmm, might have to build another Frankenstein/basher and include this. I'm starting up as a self-employed Luthier, I've done it as a hobby for about 20 something years. Eric Claptons tech got me started. I was in the classic car and motorcycle restoration industry for most of my professional life but I copped some pretty lairy spinal cord injuries so I can't do big boys work anymore 😂 Now things have settled down for the most part I'm trying to become a real person again instead of a wolf-fleece wearing, single-crutch-wielding tattoo canvas (how do they afford all of those tattoos?? Mystery...) Anyway, yes returning from my f**king ADD break there, I shall give this a bash.

For years I didn't knew, that mixin' coke and fanta was a german thing. Always thought 'mezzo mix' was just a regular coke brand, which is known all over the world. Then I went on vacation, to the netherlands and met some americans there. They've been so confused with me, mixin' the two together.😂 By the way the, here its called Spezi and it's produced a bunch of companys and breweries. The first was SchwipSchwap(by Pepsi), then MezzoMix(by Coke). But the most popular, nowadays is Spezi(by Paulaner Brewery).

Holy shit, you just solved a mystery for me. I always wondered how he got those slide sounds when he would solo. It sounded like a fretless, but I thought his basses were “normal” up and down the neck. Figured it was a tone trick or something. This is so cool!
