What a remodel! Reminds me of when my parents built their house many years ago - a lot of coordination with many trades coming together. Love those t-shirts the drywall folks are wearing! Reminds me of how fast they threw up the drywall - you definitely stayed out of the way.

Having only recently discovered the channel, I missed the home renovation series. I've just binge watched this and I'm looking forward to part two. It's interesting to see the differences in building techniques between the UK and Australia. The tour of Sawtell was a nice touch but made me extremely jealous. It must be fantastic living in such a beautiful place. It made me wish I was back in Australia again, its such a great country.

G'day Dave....financially it was very worthwhile. the build cost us around 275,000 dollars. To knockdown and build with a builder it was going to be over 600,000 dollars. Saving the old place and doing a renovation also gave us some extra benefits in regard to Council Planning. For instance, our garage was able to be built on the boundary which would not have been allowed if it was a new build. That was a big bonus for us as our block is fairly small and we needed all the space we could get. The only thing l would have differently is totally remove the old roof instead of trying to build over it which caused me no end of trouble!! 👍😁🇦🇺
