This is such a great set. I’ve gifted one to a friend for a house warming, and sold another 2 sets. Plans are well worth it

Awesome, so glad to hear that!

How much did you price them? I'm curious what I should charge.
@MrStuartJA5 ай бұрын
@@cablewrangler on my most recent build had a few tweaks, but my materials were about 700, I charged 1150 and included delivery. Those are all in Canadian dollars. I usually factor about 12 hours for a full build from start to finish, including material buying

@@MrStuartJA Canadian here. BC to be exact. Curious if those were prices during the whole 21/22 lumber prices craziness or after thing settled down a little.

@@sirawesomenessi1796 I’m in ON. It was just this spring, Home Depot pricing. Again, had some tweaks, specifically customer wanted the benches shorter, and more of them. So building more leg assemblies added a fair bit to the material needs. Plus they wanted overall length at 10’ which I believe the plans are closer to 8’ IIRC.

Perfect Timing. I just moved into a new (to me) home, and have a large patio area I was looking to build an outdoor furniture set for, this weekend. Thank you so much!

The table looks very similar in design to King Henry VIII table in the kitchen at Hampton Court. Very nice!

we have the same imperial/metric crossovers in the UK. Colloquially I might use inch dimensions but if I'm being precise it's mm

If u had used the 1.5m "scrap" of the 2"x8" and made it to the 1 2"x4" that would save u the 2"x4 that u bought :D nice vid :)!

Good point! But I wanted to show what you would have to buy if you were making these. Thank you for watching :)

Love those steel toed sock sandals.....

Haha, D on’t feel it’s necessary to use steel toed shoes in a woodshop… I don’t normally use sandals though. But I have an injury in my right foot, so I sometimes need to get my shoes off.

I like the simplicity of the build. I will build one next month! Do you seal your build to extend the life while out in the elements?
@bubtheone52264 ай бұрын
So it is not necessary to glue or screw any of the table top boards together? Only atatch them to the base?
@Taidaishar25 күн бұрын
Why does your lumber look so much better than lumber in the US? It also looks like it's actually 4x4 or 2x8 instead of 3.5 x 3.5 and 1.5 x 7.5 like it is in the US.
@Taidaishar25 күн бұрын
I asked this before I got further in the video. LOL
@jayteknica11752 ай бұрын
Wait… Is your 2x8 also actually 2” thick too? I hate how the lumber industry in the US doesn’t call anything what it actually is. In hardwood they call a 2” thick board 8/4 or eight quarter instead of just 2” 🤦🏽♂️
