As a cruiser guy, I enjoy vids of sport bike guys riding a cruiser for the first time. Thx

I demoed the 2020 Springfield Dark Horse 116 and the FTR 1200 S this past weekend. As someone who has only owned sportbikes and in the last 3 years only driven baggers, I can say you won't regret the shift to baggers if you go that route. I think the overall ride experience is so much more enjoyable. I will say, the FTR 1200 S was super badass, nimble, quick, sexy...but my knees hurt after a 20 minute ride.

As a long long time UJM and sportbike rider, my first time riding a big heavy cruiser was intimidating. It was an F6B Gold Wing but after an hour I felt right at home. Fast forward four years and my arthritic right knee forced me to sell my 600 Yamaha. I had rented an Indian Roadmaster for a few days out west and loved it. Handled well, good brakes for such a large heavy machine but it wasn’t in my budget. I ended up buying a used Triumph Thunderbird. You don’t have to chose one or the other as long as you have enough room in the garage. Keep the sportbike and get a cruiser for long rides.

That is the plan! I'm looking at buying a Harley Fat Bob or Low rider S sometime next year and keeping my 600 for those days I just wanna zip around town

2Wheel Pursuit I like the Soft tail Heritage Classic myself and also the Indian Scout. Good luck with whatever you choose. As always, ride safely.

I’m coming off an FJR1300 and wanted a couch with a little go. I have to remember these are cruisers and are heavy and slower. Wife wants to travel with me now so I need a couch. Looks like I’m going to get this one since I’m used to the wind shield and locking bags Good to see some riders trying other bikes. Thanks for the funny video.

Nice video, man! I like the unfiltered reactions. As you may or may not know from your 600 Gixxer video I have the GSX1250 FA but I also have a Victory Vision. They don't come much bigger than the Vision! But I love that bike. For a completely different set of reasons from the GSX. Riding a bigger bagger / tourer is so relaxing and frankly pretty luxurious. You get spoiled fast! You might end up with one some day!

Dude haha I legit just seen your comments now. My KZbin for whatever reason decided not to notify me when I was getting comments on specific videos... Thanks youtube lol. Nice to hear from someone who has both a Suzuki and a Victory though! The more I look at victorys the more I want one. I am a bit concerned about finding parts for them in coming years, but I never seem to keep a bike longer than 2 years anyway so that shouldn't be a problem I suppose. I'm seeing a ton of great deals on Victorys right now. Sorry again for my late reply. I really appreciate you watching and commenting!

Those scooter folks are taking the same chances we're taking and when they hit the pavement it hurts just as bad as when we hit the pavement. They got my respect. But then again, I;m a biker.

Loved the wow factor it gave you, especially being your first time on big cruiser...yeah, stock windshield is a replacement for sure! They handle well at low speeds you, just have to spend some time on one...Good vid.

Thanks! I really liked it. I actually want to see how it compares to a Harley Street Glide now so I'm looking around to get a test ride on one of those! So more videos like this coming soon

A big bike is great for long trips , now know a lot of guys that ride bagger bikes and many can ride like a hooligan( wheelies, donuts, drifting etc etc)

I am a returning rider and I want a bike just to ride on for fun. Would you get a more upright bike the the CBR500r or Ninja 650, a 600 sports bike like the r6 or zx6r, or a bike cruiser like this or a Harley? For just riding around for fun?

Hey man, question. I'm going to be saving for a new exhaust for my CBR500R but I want something loud but with quality. Im leaning more to the 2 Bros Black Series Exhaust. How satisfied were you with the Yoshi and how much louder was your CBR after the install?
@2WheelPursuit5 жыл бұрын
I was very happy with the quality of the Yoshi. It wasn't much louder until I took the baffle out though.

There comfortable bikes, feels so strange having your feet out in front of you haha

Yeah you're definitely right about that. I kept wanting to put my feet on the engine cause it felt so weird putting them in front of me like that haha

@@2WheelPursuit hey man I feel that for sure. I'm going down that road myself. Did you ever get your bike fixed?

That noise is weird, sounds like some kind of vibration, sounds like it could be an issue with the rear cylinder cutoff kicking in at low revs instead of just at idle !?. Welcome to the comfy side. lol
@servicarrider5 жыл бұрын
I am going to go out on a limb here and guarantee you that vibration has nothing to do with the rear cylinder. It's something amiss with the fairing / windshield. But then, that's just common sense, isn't it?
@TheTripleDubya5 жыл бұрын
Well if it makes you feel superior and better, you go for it sunshine. There’s two ways to approach that, you chose to be an arsehole and your pettiness satisfies me greatly, only little people play that way ;-)
@servicarrider5 жыл бұрын
@TheTripleDubya...Oh, common prissy britches, post it.
@MattMntk5 жыл бұрын
That noise IS strange...my 18 Chieftain doesn't make a sound like that at all. The only thing I can think of...if he's in sport mode...it heightens the engine braking response by closing the throttle blade completely and closing the IAC. You're truck will do that in tow/haul...especially noticeable if you have an open intake and exhaust. My truck goes from smooth and quiet to sounding like an old 2 stroke diesel bus with jakes on when it does that lol

Kind of not safe to have feet stretched out..can’t stand up over bumps if need be.

Like you I am very short stature. 5'6" on a good day. I am assuming you could not flat feet the bike. Was reaching the shifter, brake, difficult? I am thinking the chieftain has the option of reduced reach controls. Plus, FYI, you would do much better with your videos if you'd curb your language. Of course it's what people do on videos. It just takes away from any sense of professionalism. I'm lookin out for you
@2WheelPursuit5 жыл бұрын
I definitely found it hard to reach the controls, however, I could still see myself getting comfortable with it after owning it for a while. And that being said I would still buy this bike and probably get the reduced reach controls. And thanks for the advice about the language. I'm doing my best to keep myself more civil in future videos
@MattMntk5 жыл бұрын
They have a reduced reach seat that moves your legs forward and lowers you 1" as well

You were like "Ah, feels so good to take a turn like that" (or something along those lines). And then I was like "What? Was there a turn? I didnt notice.... because of that HUGE ASS BLOCK OF PLASTIC RIGHT IN YOUR FACE covering all view and half the screen. Gah... like the vid, but the bike is not for me :)
@2WheelPursuit5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can understand that. although I did enjoy the bike I think I may go for something without such a big front fairing. Especially cause like you said it blocks so much of the view
