Okay so I’d say it’s not inappropriate for a teacher to give things like chocolate or flowers for Valentine’s Day, as long as those gifts go to EVERYONE. I had an English teacher last year who on Valentine’s Day gave every class he had roses and little cards that said “You’re awesome” (or something like that). I thought the gesture was really sweet considering it was from him and his wife to literally every class he had that day. And he continues to do this little tradition with the next year students. So yeah I’d say it’s okay to give little gifts out, as long as it’s to EVERYONE and not just a couple kids.
