@@theduckgoesmoo That many this time? Not sure if anyone's said yet, but Archie Comics has been around since the '40s, and is about a group of teens in small town USA. Basic comedic antics, no ongoing plot, and time in the comic didn't seem to pass the '50s. For years you could spot them displayed at every grocery store checkout counter next to the tabloids, which is probably where some of our surprise comes from. To be fair though, I haven't seen them there in a long while. Have you heard of the teen drama Riverdale? It's based on those comics, but with more of a horror vibe thrown in. Back in the 90's the company teamed with Sony to make the Archie Sonic comics. The rest is nerd history

one of the coolest things i saw Wally do was from the Justice League series where, in a parallel universe where the League is corrupt and Wally died kidnap our Wally, to get out of a restraint prison built for him he made he's heart race so hard it made it look like he flat lined on a monitor. that Batman thought they lost him and when uncuffing to check on him got punched by him. The Speed Force is broken.

@@4everRageHFC I think he knew it would run out because Sonic said he's invincible WHILE he's in that form, implying that he won't be in it indefinitely. As for why Sonic didn't follow, his time travel abilities don't have the level of control or precision that Wally's does. Even if he knew he was time traveling, he had no way of knowing whether he was going backwards or forwards in time.

The key thing to understand about this match up - and they even admit this in the Q & A - is that so much of their feats/powers come down to interpretation; After all, you can't exactly quantify someone outrunning death or going faster than the multiversal, omnipresent concept of kinetic energy itself. By the same logic, you also can't rational explain someone getting launched almost 1 million light years away by an imploding black hole (even though black holes are ALREADY imploding, so there shouldn't be any external force involved, and it's so beyond any of Sonic's other durability feats in base form). The interpretative analysis, though, does makes sense to me because both of these characters are broken AF, and it would be very easy to change some points and create an argument for Archie Sonic.

So the battle takes place on the 2 different multiverse roads from each property. As for what ARCHIE comics is, it's a comic company that mostly does teen drama comics and some licensed comics like sonic. What makes ARCHIE unique is they sale to grocery stores so unlike regular comics that you have to go to a book store or comic shop you could pickup ARCHIE on your way through checkout. ARCHIE sonic comics were to be a continuation of the sonic cartoons of the 90s but Sega gave little oversight back then and the book whent ludicrous with its storyline, original characters and love triangles but it also took a lot of inspiration from flash comics basically giving sonic as a speedsters any powers that other speedsters had in DC and Marvel

Sonic moved while time was still meaning his speed was infinite. Wally out sped teleportation, meaning his speed was infinite, but possibly in a slightly different way? If we say they are equivalent and transferable feats, then I can't think of anyone who could reliably beat Wally. But if we say that we can't equate them and they are comparable feats managed in different ways, then perhaps someone who could stop time could threaten Wally. It would have to be a powerful enough effect that it even reaches into 'the fourth dimension' etc. and can by turned on instantaneously so that Wally can't react to it. I don't know who that would be, but maybe Mister Myxzptlk could try it? He's a being whose powers essentially come from being a 5th dimensional being who can manipulate our reality in the same way that you or I could fold paper like origami. Maybe being a 5th dimensional being means he can even manipulate the 'fourth dimension' that Wally hides in? But that's a stretch predicated on a guess all reliant on an assumption. So... take that with a mountain of salt. My only other thought would be a being powerful enough to do what the Sonic villain said and say, "Okay, you're super fast and powerful, but I'm immortal, I can just withstand and outlive you"

I still think that Time Stop feat is just an immunity feat and not a speed feat cause Base Sonic still gets hit by slower beings so it's not consistent enough, same goes for any of Sonics "immeasurable" speed feats, not consistent enough and there are arguments to debunk them

for a little bit there was a death battle race series. theyd take 4 famous cars and pit them in a death race (a race with no rules...including killing). first episode was battle of the batmobiles 66, keaton, tumbler (batman begins) and I forgot the 4th with each batman driving their batmobiles. theyve had a race between sentient cars, etc

Just one precision, sonic transformation don't really have time limit but powerlimit , he generate and store chaos energy but if he burn throught his tank faster then he generate it he turn back (in the game sonic forces for exemple, when he transforme into supersonic he start burning rings and if he is out of rings he turn back but we can extend the transformed time by collecting more rings before the end) also in the anime sonic x, he was shown to stay in super sonic form for days (maybe weeks) and only turned back because he scattered his chaos emeralds to prevent them being stollen by a stronger opponent (it took both super sonic and super shadow teaming up to beat him).

When a singularity breaks you down, it forces you into absence. Light itself can’t escape, and time and space themselves are MEASURABLY warped. Especially since planets and other space debris can be broken down too. I think that’s the best way to say it. I’ll leave it at that. I’m not in a section where I can go in much detail in my studies. Right now I’m just in the shit tons of math classes part of studying astronomy.

i agree that this is the fastest fight they've done. i'm still waiting for the strongest fight. :) not sure if they've done that one already. :) but yes, this fight was insane. imagine someone running so fast, reality doesn't have a word to explain how fast they ran. that's the "the greatest race" comic comes down to. that's where the feat comes from. Wally challenged a group of intergalactic beings in a race. they told him that they'll win because they can teleport, and Wally took them up on the race offer, and won. and if he'd lose, that universe would disappear. fun fact about that comic: there's a part there where Wally speeds past his girl, and goes: "i could kiss her now, but considering how fast i'm going, she'd explode." :)

This battle doesn't really sell the speed of these characters when they're moving on what ever the mobius strip was supposed to be. The previous one with flash and quicksilver did better in that regard by having them actually race to places in the real world so we can get a better grasp at how fast they are. It isn't until a future death battle where they best capture the blinding speed of a Flash, and Y'all know what I'm talking about

Hey, if you enjoyed this fight you should watch Crossover Colosseum's newest episode: Archie Sonic vs Paper Mario. The episode doesn't put the characters nearly as high stat-wise as Death Battle, but the episode and especially the animation were made with a lot of love and they're an absolute treat to watch!

Honestly, Wally West is probably the most powerful character in the entirety of Death Battle. With immense reality warping abilities and literally immeasurable speed, no other Death Battle character can keep up except for fellow Flash characters and maybe Doctor Fate. Regarding who Red Hood is, he's only one of the coolest Batman characters in my opinion. Think Nightwing from Season 5, slap guns and a cooler costume onto him, add a hint of crazy, and you have Red Hood.

I’ve been waiting for your reaction to this video. Gotta say after seeing it, Wally West instantly became my favorite Flash. (No disrespect to Barry, as he is a founding member of the JL) And I grew to like Archie’s version of Sonic more then the games. Probably cause he’s not as arrogant like his game counterpart. Plus he’s more into a love interest, and Archie’s version of Eggman is a lot more evil. And one last part Archie’s Sonic has tons of more interesting characters. But if you looked to one of the researchers, Ultraguy, you would find Sonic's Chaos Control was basically on par with Wally's AP and their speeds were identical, meaning it came down to skills and abilities

A lot of trivia and fun facts are coming your way, so buckle up. *The killing blow Wally hit Sonic with was him traveling through time to the moment Sonic reverted from his Ultra form. *Sonic’s death here actually had two official interpretations on the official death battle wiki (I think). The first said Wally hit him so hard he hit Sonic so hard, they erased every iteration of him across the multiverse. But at some point it got changed to Sonic reliving his entire life before being obliterated. *While Sonic is spasming through all those images, there is actually a brief moment where the poorly drawn “Sanic” meme is included. But it’s very hard to see. “Blink and you’ll miss it” if you will. *Red Hood is a DC character, and one of Batman’s many Robins. In fact, he was actually the second one ever. The connection he has with Winter Soldier is that they were bright eyed sidekicks to a super hero who then got met with a grim fate and came back with a darker, edgy personality. *The reason why Winter Soldier vs Red Hood is teased at the end of this episode, but shows up on your playlist after “The 7 battle royale” is because The 7’s fight is actually a bonus episode that was commissioned by Amazon to promote the show “The Boys” on their streaming service. Yes, you read that right. Rooster Teeth was directly PAID to make this episode. Which is actually my next piece of trivia. *The Seven Battle Royale is the first, and so far only, commercially commissioned Death Battle episode. Rooster Teeth has actually gotten offers to do this before. However, they usually turn them down because the people that want to pay them ask for them to make a specific character win. (Say what you want about them being biased, but they aren’t sell outs). The reason they went ahead with this deal is because Amazon didn’t ask for a specific character to win. They wanted the research team to do their usual thing and genuinely find the winner of an un-rigged fight. *The Seven battle royale is the first, and so far only, episode to be split into 2 parts. The pre-fight analysis and fight animation are one part, while the post fight analysis is actually it’s own video.

Like Duck here, I'm a sucker for Speedsters, and Wally's easily the Fastest, most AWESOMELY-BROKEN Speedster ever, though Archie Sonic is certainly up there as well! I'm glad that Wally won, but Archie Sonic put up a great fight! He's easily the most worthy opponent that Wally's ever faced, And I can honestly see this fight going either way! XD But hey, since Wally and Sonic were so evenly matched, here's a potential alternative ending to their Fight!... Three more cheeky references later, Wally and Sonic both run directly towards each other in a final jousting match, and the collision sends humongous shockwaves rippling all across existence, every world in every reality sees their skies turn red, thunder and lightning everywhere, and then CUT TO BLACK... Then, a constellation materializes, depicting Wally and Sonic battling for all eternity... K.O.? Boomstick: "Holy S#!t, that was AWESOME... But who won?" Wiz: "I... don't... knooowww...WOW! I just had the BIGGEST Deja-vu!" Boomstick: "Hey, you're RIGHT! This is just like when we pitted Chuck Norris against Segata Sanshiro!!!" Wiz: "I guess this is just what happens when you pit a ridiculously-overpowered redhead, against a ridiculously-overpowered Sega-mascot." Boomstick: "So they're just gonna keep fighting forever?" Wiz: Both characters are insanely powerful, they both defy, control, and/or break the laws of reality and fate, and both their speeds are, for all intents and purposes, INFINITE! I know it probably wouldn't happen. But if these have made you interested in comics at all. There is a great series called Atop the 4th Wall. It's a comic review show created by Linkara, long time collaborator and friend of both the Nostalgia Critic and Team Four Star. While you might be lost when it comes to his many MANY references. He has two series I think would be good for you. Secret Origins Month, where he reviews the first appearance of major comic characters like Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, etc. And Event Comics month, where he covers various event comics (comics with a multi-issue story, large cross-overs, tie in issues in other books, and a cast of dozens to even hundreds of characters) I think it would help teach you about some important characters and their influence but also teach you more about comics in general.

The Archie comics are the ones that were written and distributed by...... Archie comics. They're their own publisher, and started the series based off Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon (known as the SATAM, not to be confused with the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog which is super meme-y tom & jerry-esque series) It had..... well.... some interesting arcs. And the whole shitshow with Ken Penders. But it was always fun to see what other pop culture references popped up. There's even a Jojo reference in there! There's also the Fleetway comics which was a separate publisher based in the UK.... completely different story line and actually had some stuff that was considerably darker than some of the stuff in the Archie universe..... but that publication isn't really well known outside of europe.

Now they did forget that the ultimate sonic fusion (yep, they also did character fusion before dragonball) but i am not sure if that would do a whole lot, although it would remove the time factor as long as he was willing to become permanently fused with the souls of his friends… but i still dont know, one of the closest match ups ever for sure.
