This BMW E30 M3 just changed the game

This build is completely insane! Not just the build, the quality but the story behind it all. Built by students for charity is a big part of that story but what they pulled off in 11 months time for SEMA is just staggering to me.
This car only weighs 2600 lbs and features a modern/current M3 motor producing 550 hp at the wheels...like I said in the beginning...insanity!!

Im not usually a fan of an Non stock E30 M3 because it's my dream car, but this one is cool. They must have known what they were doing because they even made the motor sound good when in the original cars they do all that stupid Farts & Bangs which most people (for some dumb reason) think sound good. I'd luv to drive that thing.

very very nice! Proper ! very trick! Ive built plenty e30s and E30 M3s with euro s50b32s and s50s etc... Only thing I would do is staggered 17", in Gold color. And maybe take the stickers off, or do DTM rep vinyl integrating sponsors in it. Must be fun to drive! my s50b32 e30 m3 was a beast

fantastic ! it is just gorgeous, I've always loved the e30, and especially the m3s. and you are correct Shawn, the e30 m3 indeed, not only among bmw-folks and brand loyalists, ranks high up top and is easily among the most coveted classic performance vehicles. it fought legendary battles back in the late 80s through the early 90s in the german DTM racing circus (premier level of professional touring car racing championships here in germany) they hold a special place with me personally, to me they are simply about the finest that not only bmw but our german automotive industry in general have ever conceived. it was the trail blazer for an entire segment and practically founded it, and pretty much put bmw on the map internationally as manufacturer of sporty high performance sedans/coupes. i prefer the e30 over any of its successors for being nimble, light, with great overall visibility, just a pure driving machine. unfortunately bmw has since moved further and further away from that formula that once made them so great and unique.

Wow.F80 engine is not common swap.I would have went with the S54 E46 M3 engine for the sound.Bit this makes a LOT more power

Matthew, the gear shift knob is actually a real BMW Motorsports part. It pays homage to the design BMW used in the DTM cars in the 80's.
