The best thing about this combo is that you don't have to click through targets each time you repeat it, the pieces just trigger each other and you need only watch :D

Legenvd has the best mtg channel (imo). He is very thorough, calm, optimistic, level headed, intelligent, elaborative, informative and overall just so effective when it comes to teaching the viewer about the cards being played from both his deck and the opponents, as well as explaining the possible outcomes for plays, strategies against certain decks, to sum it up, he covers all the angles for each play and seems to play the game perfectly. It would be cool to see a beginner series with a few videos dedicated to teaching people who are brand new how to play, and then delving into some strategies for beginners. Could do the same thing for advanced players too. Keep it up LVD!

@@electric_dream_machine If it was W people would be whining about white getting too much card draw (as they do literally every time white draws anything besides the one for turn). It's a card wearing a lot of hats and probably could have been dimir, azorius, or esper for color pie purposes (whats the common color, I wonder?). But then it would probably have to be cheaper, and for that effect earlier is dangerous. Is mono U really breaking this card?

@@amarauk9687 yes, something like that. i am thinking of an old card, back from the 90s? Black or an artifact? PS: fun fact: it was obvious to me, that the effect was strong, as it massively increased my life total. But back then i still had the feeling that i was "losing" cards when i milled myself. While today this would obviously mostly be considered another positive effect that could be abused to combo. Of course i basically never had a second copy of any rare or useful uncommon card...

Would lower chances of getting the combo pieces in standard. I'll definitely be adding this combo to quite a few brawl decks though.
@0NBalfa0Ай бұрын
@@keycuz Of course. I just assume that the added cards would be just a few more of roughly equal parts of removal, value, tutoring and lands just to get a few more extra points of damage secured. Then again, an argument could be made that perhaps you don't lower sufficiently how many cards you have to go through your deck to get to the combo pieces for this to be worth it.

By that logic almost any card is useless. You can find a counter to any strategy if you pinpoint what your deck is supposed to be strong against. In a healthy meta there should always be answers to most strategies/common decks.

@@LegenVD yeah exacly that card from game 2 i thought that your opponent is so smart and has some target dmg in this deck to redirect the same dmg to your face. but hey this card and any 1 dmg source would seal the deal if this life / draw combo is to prevalent in standard play.

5:40 Has it ever been explained why it doesn't come back as a land? I assume it's because the zombie activates its ability to copy it again before the aclazotz ability kicks in?
@l33tminionАй бұрын
The ability doesn't turn it into Temple of the Dead specifically. It just brings it (the card) back tapped and transformed (on its back face, if it has one), and the back face of the Aclazotz card is Temple of the Dead. If you have Lazotep Convert copying Aclazotz, the back face of that card is Lazotep Convert (because it's already transformed). And the replacement effect on that lets it enter as a copy (changed to be a 4/4 zombie) of a creature card in a graveyard, including Aclazotz again.
