this book was traumatizing... but also i loved it

the ending was crazy 😨i still think about this book!! it definitely could be a black mirror episode. disturbing books are my fav genre, and i have "a certain hunger" on my bookshelf so i should really get to that

I felt so disturbed reading the first half of the book that I was wondering if I should actually just dnf it. But then I reached the puppies scene (iykyk) and it just hurt so bad to read that after that I just tapped out, I was completely desentisized by the time I got to the truck scene. And even at the ending i was just like "Yeah that tracks. At least the book is over" 💀 I think I went through the same character arc as the protagonist After this I had to immediately read a bunch of cute romances to just cleanse my palate 😅
