I get where he's coming from with spin jumps as a newer player. In every metroid infinite jumps have been in, it's clunky for new players because you can only reliably execute it if you diagonally jump from the start. Instead of what newer players are use to where you can just press jump and goes straight up. Because it's not modifying ALL jumps only the diagonal spin jumps. I personally just got use to it since I regularly play 2d metroids except the extremely old two.

Planet Aether from Metroid Prime 2 didn't get destroyed, and the Luminoth who live there were rescued by Samus and are happily alive. So that's only a 20% chance that your planet will explode after Samus finishes a job there.

Raven Beak’s battle is so tough but it’s also extremely fun. Each of the cutscenes as well look amazing with the one where you shoot off his wing so he decides to rip his other wing off was actually extremely intimidating

One cool thing is that Adam never refers to Samus as Lady other than the cutscene with her on her ship and going down the elevator at the start of the game. After that the terminal Adam always called her Samus, hinting that it isn’t actually Adam who’s talking to you.

1:02:00 Final Boss: The key to beating him in first phase is parrying him by pressing X as he charges at you. Use 4 individual missle shots at the black purple ball coming at you and it'll go away immediately giving u energy and missles. The 5x missles do nothing. In 2nd phase you have to use a lot of missles. Don't forget to ZL to slide when he comes down into to you the wall or double jump. 3rd phase use ur morphball bomb to blow up the sun to collect energy and missles. 3rd phase is like first. Parry him and missle him and ur golden.

I just beat metroid dread on normal mode. It took me 7 hours and 59 minutes. I do not plan on playing this game anytime soon on hard mode as doing so would probably put me on some form of trauma spiral. And yes this is my first metroid game and I love it

Raven Beak is not inherently hard, but it's designed in a way that I hate. Taking out a massive amount of your HP if you make one mistake, and having the fight be like 4 phases that you have to restart every time you die. Every other boss fight is fine. This one is just too long and tedious if you takes you more than several tries. It's artificial difficulty. Super and Fusion had so much less to work with and still designed better and more satisfying fights.

I never even knew you could parry the grabbing one. Only parried the needle a few times but it seemed reasonable since they said it was almost impossible. Would have live so much more if I knew about the grabbing one

You get two opportunities to parry, but the second one seems significantly harder. Part of the reason the second one seems harder is because if you press it too early, the EMMI just goes ahead and kills you, making you think in subsequent attempts that the timing is earlier. You have to be patient and learn the prompts
