Something I noticed is that the NA style seems to counter Seer a bit. Retals and Appjack also beat this version of Seer, while the EU guys struggle a lot more and have lost a bunch. I wonder why that is exactly.

Yeah it is strange to see joyo and oski lose to this when leth and rapid win considering how joyo and oski are clearly much better at RL than leth/rapid. That said, they didn't have as much time to figure out seer since they played a bo5. If this had been a bo5 then leth and rapid lose this series 1-3. I'd also say that leth/rapid played more strategically while joyo/oski just tried to brute force with sheer mechanics. Given seer's insane speed, I think the mechanical route is definitely less effective than beating them with demos and bumps.

I think maybe some of the EU players are so used to beating everyone to the ball that they assume it will work on the bot as well - crazy mechs and fast aerials seem to be less good against the bot than safe plays, solid defence, boost management etc.

Humans have more flexibility within their learning than the bots so a human can learn faster. I find it interesting how you can see that throughout the video. At the beginning, bots were winning and pros had difficulty. At the end, the pros ended up getting the better of the bots (maybe by learning how to make a ball awkward for the bots). Very interesting video

Purely a guess, but constant bumps(not demos) and switching possession between tm8s during dribbles when it seems nonsensical seems like the only thing that gets them out of synch with each other. Like the episode of Gilligan's Island where the Harlem Globetrotters beat the robot team by doing nonsensical movements they arent programmed to expect. IT WORKED FOR GILLIGAN

When Rapid gained confidence it was over in the end. Also Rapid faking them to use the flick on contest is a strategy to beat aswell as minimizing the ball going into the air on 50/50 as it'll read that very fast. Human wins for learning to adapt. That reaction speed it has was insane.
