They must be really pushing staffers to promote this ball, cause the price point is absurd, and there is no reason to buy it if you're cost conscious.

Out of curiosity, what balls fit the same slot, and are considerably cheaper? I haven't looked at getting this at all, my hustle ink has served me very well, how much is the lightning?

I’ve been rolling this ball for almost 2 weeks now and it’s incredible. It’s clean in the front but generates a lot of force after the turn. It’s a great pearl ball for that end of the night lane condition.

@@h8re it's the price of a top of the line symmetric. I believe like 199 MSRP. While being of similar strength to a B7 ball with $130 MSRP. I'm not doubting that the ball is a good ball, but the pricing just seems totally out of touch.

@@h8re Your Hustle Ink is almost the same ball. This is basically a Hustle RIP with a slightly stronger cover. Which is not a bad thing. I'm strongly considering getting one as a +1 Hustle RIP is something I could get a lot of good use out of but yeah, hard to justify the price when you can get a Hustle for less or a Deadly Rattler even cheaper (on sale for 129 at some places right now).

@@youngfleshlight5859 that's half of the drilling, or in my town, entire drilling cost. I would personally put this in the hyroad range of 150, so $50 cheaper

4x4x4 aka the Chayton special. I use it on weaker pearl asymmetricals. The covers allow them to get down the lane without hooking too early.

Just drilled a global eternity pearl and an ebonite emerge pearl. Love these balls and so will probably be set in the pearl category for a few years. Won't need the lightening.

I recently started bowling after a 25+ year break. I currently have the Virtual Energy Blackout and enjoy it quite a bit. My question is is there another option for me as my speed is around 13-14 mph and my style is the older traditional style not high rev. Any suggestions? I was wondering if the Lightning Blackout would be better for me, especially when the lanes dry up. thank you.

When they talk abt the core it confuses me .. I can bowl a 200 almost every game and don’t understand how to tell how strong a ball is like when he says the iq compared to this which one has a stronger curve ??
@Drockaggie25
@Drockaggie25 4 ай бұрын
Your score doesn't reflect your knowledge of the game. When he refers to another staple bowling ball, it's so you understand how early/late and how "snappy"/"smooth" a ball is. IQ is a smooth downlane ball (hence the gloss).
@tyleradcock5493
@tyleradcock5493 4 ай бұрын
@@Drockaggie25 I know it doesn’t that’s why I’m asking these questions and just trying to figure it out more and have more understanding .. so your saying the gloss means it will have a smoother hook down the lane ? An a more flat finish will hook more aggressively ?
@Drockaggie25
@Drockaggie25 4 ай бұрын
@@tyleradcock5493 The gloss means it won't hook through the oil, the flat finish will hook earlier. Use a glossy ball in fresh condition and a dull ball with lots of carry down.
@Drockaggie25
@Drockaggie25 4 ай бұрын
@@tyleradcock5493 The core of the bowling ball (look for the diff scoring) determines the moment of inertia and therefore what shape you see out of the ball once it hits friction. So a ball with a 0.053 diff will be very strong on the dry, meanwhile a 0.026 diff ball will be a smoother over all downlane reaction. Now that goes for symmetrical balls. Asyym is a different topic.
