Pete is The Absolute Dude when it comes to dialing in gear to make great tone. If I was in the market for an overdrive, I’d be on reverb right now ordering one. Thats exactly my jam, as far as what I want on the floor in front of me.

Be interested to know the circuit topology of this one. I'm thinking it's maybe a Coloursound Power Boost/Overdriver with the added volume control. Something about the sound and the way the note blooms though makes me think maybe a FET transistor is involved somewhere

The problem is that Pete sounds great no matter what gear he uses, this makes it for use even harder to choose , in fact i bought the BudiG and I didn’t like it , sitting on the shelf ever since , to compressed to my taste and this is in general besides the fuzz a Vemuran issue IMO

The JB archer sounds a bit more articulate and thinner in the mids in a good way, to me. It fixes that mid bloat that I hear in Klons as the gain starts to engage. I have a J Rocket Rockaway “Archer” and I’m always dialing down the 400 and 800hz to thin it out in the mids.

Too much, I picked mine up for $250 from my local mom and pop in mint condition. Be patient, at $375 it's not worth it unless you plan on looking at it as an investment. I want the myriad fuzz bad but until it shows up for $250 I'm holding off. Anymore than these prices you can buy from Analogman who builds the cream of the crop.
