I think its funny.. you could just bring a tablet into your car at that point and mount it somewhere.. faster and easier, probably already have one. You also wouldn't have to deal with privacy concerns of dealing with privacy concerns of using an unknown box.

It’s a great addition, especially if you do not have a tablet. I like it because everything is contained into one unit, and I don’t have to worry about another tablet! As for privacy, I feel that almost everything has our data, so one other thing to sign into isn’t going to make it any worse for me!

Exactly - I wouldn't plug in some rando-off-brand device into my phone. Who knows what data is is pulling and where it is pushing it to.

Since it updates and changes the factory radio, what happens if you unplug it?

It’s actually an addition to the factory radio, if you unplug it, it will just go back to the stock radio screen.

Would this work on an aftermarket head unit equipped with CarPlay? I have a wireless CarPlay adapter I’ve been using but it only has the stock CarPlay apps.

That’s actually a good question! I didn’t even think about that! I will have to try it on my turbo Corolla with an after market radio!

@@dalaquan2281sorry for the late reply. I tried it on an aftermarket head unit that has built in Apple CarPlay. And I was able to use the supplied USB from the radio and plug it in, and it loaded up just like in this video!

@@BrandonStellmach that’s good to know, I’ll definitely have to get one then. I’m always chilling in my car before work or school so it would be nice to play videos on my head unit.
