I knew a boxer who fought like this once. He went by the name Chris Byrd. He even became world heavyweight champion twice for a short time. He looked just as untouchable early in his career, when he was going against hasbeens and never was fighters. But then he got in the ring with a fighter who had legit, top tier hand speed and power and got absolutely chilled one night. He got knocked out so hard, he didn't even realize he was in a boxing match when he finally came too. That fighter who taught him a valuable lesson on his way up was named Ike Ibeabeuchi.

Ike Ibeabuchi, one name I would never forget. One heavyweight with relentlessly assault, tremendous engine, dealt decisively with David Tua. At the time nobody wanted anything to do with him including Tyson and Holyfield. How I wish he had kept the same discipline and professionalism he had in the ring off the ring he would have been a household name to be celebrated as a legend of the sport. Whitaker just like Byrd wouldn't stand a change against the current crop of light heavyweights kings of the division such as Bivol and Bertabiev

WOW, Exactly Mate, I saw that to, if you play you open then higher energies. Like when you practice defense, you can begin to feel a need for the imagination to join in. It's a mystery how it really works, but what you said is as Damn close as I or anyone can get, it's his Chi energy, you're right. To beet him you would need to destroy his Ego and his Flow first, or be of equal or better at channeling energies.

@UltraBeatZ The guy completely understands how to control his opponents perception of his movements. @frenchybyrd4274 Just....LOL @rick262 His looney toon swag goes to his head sometimes. Can't wait till someone makes him see stars for it so he can mature a bit @cmarkme I mostly agree with what you said. He constantly keeps you in hypnotic focus, dancing through every angle he can find, constantly misleading you. Its confusing because, the guy can seemingly use any and every angle to capitalize on an opening. He is tuned into how energy works. The kinetic force you can generate with your body can take on an insane amount of shapes and forms. You see dancers use this concept to articulate their intentions or feelings. Kung fu embodies stuff like elements, animals or even just basic concepts like couching or "Dragon crunches troll". If you understand how empathy works, you can "imagine" your opponents energy. In fact, he is so tuned in, he is dancing in and out of the trajectory of opponent attacks like he can feel them coming, like he feels what they have to do or where they have to go because of what he is doing. Watch his stuff man, sometimes he isnt even looking at his opponent and he just dodges ANYWAY!! Sometimes the opponent didnt even actually attack him because they are shook af, so he uses the dodge for something else, like just randomly going into a shoulder roll, which confuses you and allows him to reposition, reset and start setting you up again. Or... he just hits you from weird angle, so you go night night.

I’m 60 today, and have been watching pro boxing since the mid 1970s when it would come on ABC Sports. I’ve seen these type of flamboyant fighters before, but this dude does take the cake. And he’s good--real good. Never forget: Naseem Hamed was humbled by Marco Antonio Barrera. Roy Jones, Jr., who DOMINATED the 1990s in super middleweight/light heavyweight, ended up getting knocked out back-to-back in 2004. It seems as though despite how brutal you are in the ring, the old gunfighter rule of life emerges in time: No matter how fast you are, there’s always someone faster.

He is right about his approach. Boxing has to entertain the audience. He is very respectful of his opponents once the bout is over. He is a talented individual who I wish the best for. I hope he does well, because if he does well the sport will do well.

Good talent but not enough. Once he fights someone that attacks the body and fights in a clinch game. It's all over for him. He needs to be a little more humble with his good talent.

He might be the modern day Emmanuel Augustus. Any boxing fan should check out Augustus vs Mayweather and Augustus vs Mickey Ward. He is one of the most entertaining fighters. Mayweather said it was his toughest fight. I think he took that fight on a few days notice also.
