There is nothing small about the way you and your family are living. This is very healing to see. Your struggles and difficulties are very real , but also very pure. Ivar is at the center of your life now, but it is filled with lasts. There will be a last time you read to him or put a puzzle together . But it will last . There are so many firsts to come . The first time he does some farm chore all alone, or maybe reads an entire book alone . Those firsts will lead to many more . I don know what it is like to wake up in the same room with Mother and Father cuddled in a bed . To hear the sounds of laughter in the morning . As a child there are no more important or big things in life . The world is not passing you by , It is you all that are passing life with flying colors . My wife and I receive great joy to hear Ivars laugh and see his smiling face . We rarely ever post comments but today I must. I am reminded that its not the power hungry politicians and businessmen that conquer the world its the Ivars who have such loving parents that do . Your life is beautiful. Never forget how rare it is . Like a gem there are not so many . We try to do those things like you , growing food and raising some chickens . Its not much but also brings us joy . One day I hope all the world can see the great accomplishment of family in the way you are doing this . Would that I could i would like to spend a summer gahtering hay and building the new home structure , feeding the sheep and hear Ivar laugh . God bless you all . and truly thank you !

Please don’t ever feel that no one wants to watch your videos. Everything you produce is of interest and some of your nature films are absolutely stunning. I have learnt so much about traditional building and animal husbandry from your work but some of my favourites have been the ordinary, every day family ones. I love watching Ivar growing up. I’m fascinated to hear the Swedish language and find so many words that are the same as, or very similar to, the English ones. My family are from the north east of England and we use the word ‘bairn’ meaning child. I’ve heard it all my life but didn’t know it came from Scandinavia. My younger grandchildren are a similar age to Ivar so seeing him doing so many of the things they do makes me smile. Happy Birthday Ivar -or in Welsh- Penblwydd Hapus.

Life is for living, and family is a big part of life. So, please feel free to film everything important in your life. By the time Ivar is five, he will learn to leave you alone when your are working on the laptop. His brain just needs to develop a little more. For the rest of your lives, you and your wife will always treasure your times in your tiny house. Love thrives in small spaces. Your son will have fond memories as well of your tiny house. It’s very common for people to lose their sense of creativity for awhile. Artists often drink a little alcohol to free their creativity. Others, meditate and take walks in the woods. Maybe your sauna would work for you.

I was reminded of an experience of my own, when you described working on videos and Ivar being so interactive. My daughter was young when I studied for my PhD, and my professors felt I had lots of time to work on my studies WHILE I cared for my daughter... and their expectations reflected that attitude. They were fools at best, and inhumane at worst, I never knew which! Of course, my daughter's best interests were prioritized, by me.

I have three daughters. My oldest shares her birthday with Ivar, though she is five years ahead. We do not have television at our homestead, but I allow them to watch your channel because it is so wholesome and it is good for them to see other children living a similar life. They ask to watch "Ivar's snow house" and get so excited every time there is a new video uploaded. For them, the channel is Ivar's. They love these "focused" videos especially. There are many draw backs to sharing your family with strangers on the internet...but take heart, many of us feel it is a privilege and honour to watch him grow. I probably won't have grandbabies, and I know I am not the only one. You are helping fill a little need in my heart.
