Now this is what we need more of as reviewers. Companies that aren't afraid of feedback and know how to build upon it. Didn't like the first outing but this is right up my alley. It's fresh and funky yet tasteful. Also, edging closer to 100k mate. Congratulations.

Great looking watch and awesome that they listened. The best companies are those that listen to constructive criticism and feedback and use it to improve instead of getting butt hurt about it. Not every release is going to be a home run, but it seems like they’ve made an interesting offering here. Keep up the great work Ben.

It's refreshing to see a microbrand selling watches at this price point where the makers appear to have spent more money on the product itself instead of the marketing. I don't remember the last time I saw another microbrand take this approach. Whilst I'm not in the market for a chronograph at the moment, the Nezumi Tonnerre would be at the top of my list if I were, mainly to thank them for not jumping down the rabbit hole of wank that is the typical fashion-centric microbrand. The fact that it's a real homage (and a very tasteful one at that) is a bonus.

It's here! A Chrono for slim wrists... I shed tears of joy seeing the dimensions. Now I hope I get enough poket money on Christmas to afford this watch. About reviews though. I even think, sometimes a reviewers negative criticism can be taken by someone as a positive point. Best example are reviewers with mid-sized wrist saying the watch looks to small. Hell that is a pro for a slim wrist like mine.

Tbh, the reason why I watch you is because you have consumers in mind when you review watches. In the era of over sensationalisation, it's important to not fall for the hype and listen to second opinion. So ignore the haters and keep being you because in the long run, your honesty will keep people watching you.

I was wondering about that brand name..... The website states: "The name Nezumi came from a book David read as a child about a Japanese ”Robin Hood” called Nezumi Kozo whom stole from the rich samurai and gave to the poor. We at Nezumi Studios support numerous charities, hence the name." 鼠 means mouse or rat. Names can be tricky though, so I checked and wiki states: Nezumi Kozō (鼠小僧) roughly means "Rat Kid".

Thank you for reviewing this, as few reviews have come out since this watch was released. I own the black reverse panda and can confirm the dimensions fit the smaller-wristed of us perfectly. It’s a great vintage inspired design that has a feeling of authenticity rather than imitation. My only criticism is the legibility of the minute/hour hands. They’re flat and high polished, and don’t stand out from the dial unless angled to reflect a light source. This introduces reflections to the crystal as well right when you’re trying to read it. It would’ve benefited from brushed hands which pick up light from all angles. Not a dealbreaker for me, but worth mentioning. Overall a stunning watch packed with excellent design and well-balanced proportions. One of my favorites from Nezumi.

Great review as usual Ben so Thanks! Ben, WHY do ALL these companies use a WORTHLESS 24 hr.sub-dial (just for aesthetics???…that’s my guess) instead of the classic (“Classic”…as in SO USEFUL it is considered necessary for many decades starting in the 30’s/40’s) a 12 hour totalizer. I’ve seen sub $200.USD Quartz Seikos on Amazon with just that: 1) Running Seconds 2) 30 minute totalizer 3) 12 hour totalizer….NOT that stewyupid 24 hour dial. Come on! There is an old saying, "there is no such thing as negative review feedback" and personally I think I take this in a positive way, Getting feedback from the customer base for how things can be improved has to be a good thing but only if it's followed up. Nezumi have clearly listened and made some changes. We may not be able to please everyone all of the time as we're all different but all feedback is useful to designers and manufacturers good or could do better.

I will keep saying it, because i hope it reaches companies, but there is no review as glorifying or convincing to want to buy from the brand than hearing from multiple reviewers how open and easy you are to work with, and conversely, if word gets out about too much script being given / artificially upping the reviews is a massive drawback, eg. I and others like me will value an open and honest 3-4 out of 5 star review over a series of samey 5 star reviews

There’s no shortage of larger watches out there, but Aragon Watches (based out of Florida, Wing Design) is worth a look. I'm liking the colors and the look, but 38mm is way too small for me. Good on them for listening and improving. If they make one in 40, or better yet 42, I'll take another look. And in my case I'll disagree with your take on homages. I want a homage be as close to the watch it's paying homage to as possible, other than branding of course. For example, when I want a Speedmaster homage it's not because I didn't like the way the Speedmaster looked, it's because I can't afford the real one but want that look, just in a more affordable package.
