Wow! Thank you so much Taylor and Michelle, I so much appreciate this! I just subscribed to Michelle's newsletter and am looking forward to receiving my first copy. As someone who lived in Penang decades ago and is seriously considering returning to retire in Malaysia, what Michelle shared resonated with what I remember so fondly and why Penang felt like home, especially how easily I found it to make new friends and the many opportunities there, and perhaps even more so today. If Michelle has published anything with tips and insights on obtaining a business visa and/or starting a retirement business, I'd much appreciate a pointer to them. Cheers and thanks again!

This was a very surprising and revealing video Taylor, most informative. Hopefully, Malaysia will relax or return its' visa rules to a far more realistic and accommodating package. For instance, I can very easily afford to rent there as I own my home here in the US outright. In one year I'll be retired with three income streams, Social Security, two pensions and some interest income from 401 K, and as a bonus, some very real income should I decide to rent my house out. Oh . . . to be discovering the beauty of KLCC atop a white VESPA GTS ! . Also, I could see the possibility of selling my home and buying something very nice in KLCC or Penang . Oh well . . . one can hope things will turn around. Sending you all my very best wishes Taylor.

Hi Taylor, I’ve read many people get a Sarawak MM2H visa (which has far easier requirements) and live in Penang, KL, etc. There is a requirement to spend 30 days per year in Sarawak. Have you heard of this and have you any comments?
@alainbergeron4520 Жыл бұрын
It is very envigorating to hear a point of view of a Penang, definitely a slice of paradise. Thanks Taylor for sharing this interview with us..
@Phil-kb8ql Жыл бұрын
@Mike-xi6ffthanks Mike. How effective could the 30 day in Sarawak requirement possibly be ( unless you need to use and have your passport recorded for domestic travel in Malaysia)? With invoices from both a $40 return airfare from KL and a $35 stay at a Sarawak home stay for a month, using cash for the rest of your stay, it would be cheap and easy to “prove” you were in Sarawak for a month while sitting in KL.
