When I was listening to the song, the event also made me think of the fundamental question that was posed (which for some reason escapes me). However, when I saw the rooftop scene and watch Hotaru (Firefly in Japanese) explain her life situation to the Trailblazer (looks better with Caelus to be honest here), I got teary-eyed. I have to say, kudos to Hoyo-Verse on this one. Penacony definitely got me thinking A LOT. (But when I saw what happened to Hotaru a bit later...I was just shocked for a few seconds and mentally going 'WTF?!').

I may have listened to the song about 10 times daily since it came out, and its always just so emotional to hear. Such a beautiful track with such a precious person. I know some people say it was kinda abrupt cause we didn't get much time with her for an attachment, but she was the first person you ever spend one-on-one time with when there's no apparent threat, and with someone who's really just opens up almost completely with her disease. I legit have the selfie picture as my 2nd monitor's background, and can't help tearing up singing along to this. Now the torturous wait of about 20 days for the next part (since thats also when the Sparkle Banner drops) Edit: Do definitely go back to the rooftop! The bgm changes to the instrumental for this song whenever you're by the balcony, and the first time you go back up there you get a sticker/achievement, as well as an investigation spot at the edge. And for you or whoever missed it, after "that" happens, in the lobby is an item to collect at that spot.

I may be a Bronya enjoyer, but Firefly is best girl. But when Firefly playable? I hope she eventually becomes playable, even as a 4 star, I just want to explore the world while playing her character T.T. Also, being caught up to any Honkai story is like that Velo, Whenever I am caught up in Honkai 3rd (with the exception to Part 1 and Part 1.5 finales), I always wanted more.

last few days, i startet to play the penacony storyline then yesterday, while waiting for a friend, i thought to myself: hm, i can progress just a bit before he comes online. i was right before THAT scene. and i believe no moment in any video game or anime made me sadder than that cutscene. compared to genshins emotional moments (in my oppinion also very awesome) in Star Rail they just do stuff, that in Genshin they would never. also, what broke me the hardest was that image you could find after that cutscene. that cute selfie, and its description, that her phone disappeared into a dream bubble. i am broken 10/10 Standing there and realizing what just happened, while that music plays in the background is tragic af

I've been depressed ever since I've played Genshin, then Honkai Impact 3rd (this was the worst), and now Hoyoverse's been staying true to themselves by bringing sadness into Honkai Star Rail X) But honestly, after playing so many of their games, I was expecting that kind of outcome.

@@クレア-p3c And what I love most about Hoyoverse is that yes, they’ll make you bawl… but they never leave you there. It may take a little time, but they’ll turn that bitterness sweet. Maybe you’ll still be sad, but there will be peace, because even if they’re still gone, their departure will have meaning and will raise you to new heights. Hoyoverse says, “Fight for all that is beautiful in the world”, they’ve said it since HI3 or maybe even before that; so even when they bring you sadness, there will eventually be a beauty in that loss. And hey, sometimes they’re not gone! Though I don’t entirely trust Shaoji to not play with my heart again 😅

Fun Fact: Robin and this song are based on a poem of the same name as the song ("If I Could Stop One Heart From Breaking") written by Emily Dickinson. Robin is a type of a bird and is mentioned in the poem and robin does have bird motifs as well as the fact that shes letting birds out from the cage in her splash art. Heres the poem for anyone interested: If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.

I am not 100% sure but I think the piano 'riff' around the 1:55 (for the music piece it self. in this video it's heard at 4:50 mark) is actually an echo of the Log in music theme. Which just might be the trailblazer's or the nameless them. If that is sooo it adds so much meaning to that part for firefly.

Firefly suffers from a condition i cant recall the name of, which is stated as a "Deterioration of the Bodys ability to move and talk over time. At a certain point the disconnection grows to a point where the victim cant tell the difference between Dream and Reality.". Firefly says that she doesnt feel that happening in the Dreamscape.

I highly, highly recommend checking out some of the other mihoyo songs, such as regression, nightglow, See you in the next world, TRuE, Da Capo, etc, if u havent already. In fact, if you've been poking round the community u shoulda heard parts of regression by now. The whole firefly situation reminds a certain part of the honkai community of a character who is linked to that song and Da Capo is likely regarded as the most beautiful hoyo song so far by most who have heard it Btw Yusuf, who sang sumadartha, sang regression in one of the honkai concerts a couple of years back, and the en VAs of dan heng and bailu sang a cover of Da Capo
