Aye John I love this watch. Baltany as a brand has shown some creativity here displaying this nautical look. I do wish it had a date wheel but as the dial is it shows a really traditional design. The price is good value for the quality of its fit and finish. The dial whisky hue and brass nautical bezel are a highlight. I love it.

Nice review. I put a burgundy suede strap on mine and put the black leather Baltany strap onto a black dial Pagani speedmaster chrono.

Thanks for the great review. This was one I slept on for a long time too, as it seemed a bit “out there”. But, after a while, it got my attention and when I got it in hand, it’s a special and quite original watch. I actually went for the black dial, as I already had the Baltany brown sun ray dial on the explorer homage, as well as the tropical brown Nivada Antarctic. As beautiful as the Baltany brown dial is, the black dial is a beauty too and cuts down on the bling factor, making it more regularly wearable, even though it still stands out. I actually also had this watch on wrist when I saw your review, wearing it on a black Artem sailcloth strap and enjoying the look. Thanks for the hard work, keeping us addicts hooked while considering our next fix-I mean watch.

I got one before the AE sale , I couldn’t wait but it was a decent price . Mine came with a light tan strap which didn’t do the head justice so immediately swapped to a dark brown suede one which immediately “ worked “ aesthetically. Nice t read another positive review to back my judgement !

I tried this on a Milanese but it was a shiny one and did not suit it. I put it on a Sailcloth from Artem though and works well 🙂

I could be tempted. This is right up my alley. I am having a break from buying anything at the moment. Sometimes I think you have to take a breather. I like this watch and as a SanMartin fanboy I desire their new designs, I think there is too many of them coming on too strong. This watch is a slow down and look back at what was. I have the Baltany Explorer and I am very happy with it. Anyway my useless comment for the day.

It's a looker alright, certainly a statement piece. Love it when brands branch out and do something different. That dial is beautiful, for me the stainless balls make the bronze bezel a bit too blingy, otherwise I like everything about it 👍. Great review as always.
