Spencer filed for a patent (and was a few years earlier) though which is generally why he is credited for it. Realistically the idea isn't that complicated once microwave beams had been discovered. I wanted to learn science from pure curiosity and ended up on biochem because it was advertised in my school. Because of carl's plant vaccine studies I wanted to learn more about photosynthesis and found cyanobacteria as my main focus of my master's thesis. I love them green little things.
