1000 + 600 + 250 + 250 = 2100 2100 * 0.02 = 42 Math checks out and you just get really good value from Seraph's with the novel build. I missed the crystal + band, too, at first.

I think mana won by lvls counts as bonus mana. At least if works that way for Kai'sa AD and AS (to get the evolutions). Well it seems it doesn't count to this item, he had 1000 form staph, 600 from black, 250 from gem and 250 from manaflow band = 2100 * 0.02= 42

Seraph is a scam item, it's sounds good in paper to get extra AP and a shield... But 2% of your bonus mana in a standar build (Like 2 or 3 mana items) you only get around 40 - 50 AP And the shield is bullshit, 250 + 20% of your CURRENT mana, so you never will get more than 600 shield, sounds big... but not enought to save your life when needed, not really worth it for a rough early game.
