@@liveenjoy6821 Kolkata is affordable because it doesn’t have high paying jobs. Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune has high paying jobs so thats why rentals are also high. It totally depends on economics of city. Though I feel rentals in Mumbai over the roof and it just because jobs are mostly saturated in Main mumbai. Now it has started flourishing in Navi Mumbai so eventually it is going to cool down Mumbai real estate. Also, if tenant wants to travel by cabs it’s totally fine. But, he can’t say that public transportation is bad just because he don’t want to travel in rush. He has an option, not opting for it is personal choice.

@@preel9905 buddy, people from every community stay in kolkata, not just Bengalis and all of them love the food here. So your point of only Bengalis liking the food is invalid. And it’s a fact that kolkata has less jobs and hence we move out to other cities. No denying on this. As far as people moving to your beloved city and making it chaotic is concerned, It is the fault of government that only 3-4 major cities are attracting all the corporates and not the other cities. Also, calcutta cuisine had recently got a spot in the top 10 best cuisine in the world. You can google it.

One must always be open to accepting new things when they move to a new place. It's crucial that you explore & do some good research on every choice you make. See there are always options available but having a pre conceived notion won't help. There is absolutely no need for them to pay so much and Live in Dadar East particularly, anywhere in the west they could hv got an apartment without worrying about traffic much. For Food you really need to explore there is everything available now in a big city like Mumbai. It's a big joke when they say that they couldn't find adequate public transportation facilities. By next year Metro 3 will add up to the connectivity from Dadar but again they are in East. They really need to get around a bit & explore with an open mind.
