I did this song, and while I found it hard after I recorded it whenever I go back it’s easy and just muscle memory. Gallops feel easier in most songs now.

@@Guitarist19887 I understand - I've only just started taking my guitar practice more seriously and although gallop picking still hurts a bit, I've definitely improved my endurance. I'll keep working at it!

@@sandsh8rk bit of pains alright. There’s a fine line between injury and practicing good. I believe aching etc is a good sign. Welcome to metal I guess lol. Is it just this song you struggle with?

@@Guitarist19887 I also struggle with high tempo down picking, that's been a weakness of mine for a long time.

@@sandsh8rk Ah I see. Try not flaring your hand out. It improves my endurance. Just from a personal perspective and picking gains, learn Blackened by Metallica all the way through down picked. If you see my picking hand in that it’s way better than when I was flaring out doing this one, might not be your problem but it was mine. Also “I sever” by Sylosis. Focus on Rhythm for a while and enjoy the gains.
