Cooking while camping is a rarity for me even though I have a little kitchen in my Scamp trailer. But this car camping kitchen looks well designed! Cooking is 'at home'. On the road I enjoy just eating cheeses, good bread, fruits and salads. Trying interesting restaurants is top priority😊

What if you put a silicone funnel into the hole for the sink? If you got a collapsible version, it could squish to fit properly and eliminate leaks.

Yeah, I was think about that, with a little bucket underneath to capture the gray water so that I could dump it in the fire pit or something like that.

Actually, they are golden- mantled ground squirrels. They are often confused with chipmunks, however chipmunks are more slender, while golden -mantled ground squirrels are slightly larger and don't have stripes on their face like chipmunks do. My dog gingerly carried a tiny baby squirrel home. I raised it on formula I made myself. I named him Pierre. Once weaned, I slowly introduced him back into the forest which my property bordered. I would check on him often. He seemed to adapt but once the first snow fell, I came home one afternoon to find him sqeaking in the woodpile by the back door. I opened up the door, he ran to the the room his cage used to be in and began sqeaking even louder than before because his cozy cage was no longer there. He kept the squeaking up until I fetched the cage from my storage shed, filled it with fresh shavings and cotton for making a nest, and placed it where it used to sit. In he dove! Pierre drank water, shredded enough cotton to make a decent nest, and slept for 3 days. He wanted no part of the outside world again. He'd made his choice. He chose a house over a forest. I would often close off a room and let him play in a sandbox I made for him. He would dig and go wild!!! He got out of his cage once unsupervised and dug holes through every houseplant I had! He lived to be almost 7!

Found you on your other channel and came upon this channel by accident (looking for car camping youtube channels). I kept thinking your voice sounded familiar and then started looking at your face and knew it was you. I lived in Lake Tahoe (South shore) in the 1980’s. I’m going on my first car campout in November with a bunch of ladies here in Florida. It is hard to get it all together. If I totally fail I will be 45 minutes from home!😊 Enjoy your channel and a car kitchen will be a game changer in the future!

Nice little kitchen, but i would bypass the sink drain…that can leak, and just lift out the sink and dump it the old fashioned way…the idea of having a sink, just like at home, is nice, but not always practical or necessary.

Sorry seems pointless. Waste of water and lots of ways to have spouts on water bottles. Also easy to buy inexpensive collapsible sinks. It’s basically some counter space and you provide everything else you need for the actual kitchen. In my mind if you’re car camping the simpler the better, but if you’re enjoying it that’s all that counts.
@dianeschmiane Жыл бұрын
I like how neat and compact it all is folded up, not to mention all the convenient surfaces when dispersed camping.
