That's what I like to hear. If a few people manage to make it close to a million on original stuff, odds are they were well built vehicles. My old Ford Escort made it to ~240k before I sold it. Basically nothing went wrong... AC on it was godly, too. Would make your hands go numb after about 15 minutes full blast. I'm always disappointed when I get into a modern car and the AC barely chills. If you can't see your breath when you exhale, it's not doing a good enough job chilling your car.

I'm almost sure this was the model that Acura/Honda lost money on to get their reputation up to par. If Acura were to re-sell the Integra GS-R again with the 1.8L 170hp engine, I would buy it in their emerald green. The suspension and engine were different than the Civics of that era, as well. My only gripe is that they came with a 5-speed manual. If I had the time and money, I would buy one of these used, strip it, repaint it, put a K20 or K24 with a supercharger, a 6-speed manual, drive it for the next 30 years.

The B20 engine is fast and nice in the Integras and others alike, but they're more on the underpowered side for the 97-01 CR-V's. They also require (or strongly recommend according to the manual) to have a valve adjustment performed every 30K which is inconvenient for those who drive a lot per year and i'd only trust a Honda tech to do it . I just got mine done today at the dealership and it runs a lot more quieter and smoother 31K later since the last time it was performed.

My integra actually gets surprisingly great gas mileage. I drive in bumper to bumper interstate traffic and sit at stoplights a lot. I spend probably 40% of the time driving normally, the other 60% is slow crawling traffic. I recently got an average of 29 miles per gallon in my 4 speed automatic, 4 door ls integra. That's really amazing considering it almost never gets the chance to drive normally. It's also the heaviest and least efficient version, also mind you its a quarter of a century old.
